still can't get into the admitted students site either.

I didn't try it repeatedly, so I can't really be sure, but mine didn't work until the next day.

Flan - thanks for the info. I have been trying to log in once every 15 minutes, thinking I got my hopes up too soon.

etk - any chance you have a "decision letter sent" status update? My status update is still 7/12 UR

I was able to log in to admitted students by the end of the day, and decision letter sent took a few hours.

Canes, your theory on page 18 was well-articulated, and I suspect you are correct. The trend certainly seems that if you go UR on a date, you either get the "tuition deposit received" (aka de facto acceptance) that same day or the very next day.

For people with 3 status changes, like myself, I have a feeling we're screwed. At the very least, we prob are on some unofficial waitlist that gets case aside until the deposit deadlines. Thus, our applications could push into August. If that's the case, frankly, I'd rather be rejected than forced to wait 2 weeks *just in case* they don't fill their quota, bc even if they don't, this unofficial wait list is probably pretty large.

NYU, just admit me or reject me already...

Yeppp...that's basically the whole theory I expounded a page or two ago using about 5% as many words lolz

7/17 at 4:15 pm - Decision letter sent

Still cannot log into admitted students page, though.

Hi all - first time posting - got the "Decision letter sent" and "Tuition Deposit Received" box today. This sounds like good news after sifting through the thread.

Stats: Top 10%, Top 25 School, Law Review
I also lived and worked in NYC previously.

I'm still waffling on whether it is worth it to transfer (i.e. is it worth giving up LR and $ to go to NYU if I think I can get the same NYC firm job). Still waiting on CLS. Only two schools I applied to.

The more this process drags on and aggravates me, the more staying home seems like a good idea. At least my T2 threw a boatload of money at me.

Harvard and Penn. I'm not out anywhere, which I suppose is a positive sign.

I'm somewhat optimistic because a kid at in my exact spot (same school, same rank) got in last year.

Your time will come canes. You are way too qualified to be waiting this long.

But sitting at #1 at that school is not a terrible situation. I know that market pretty well and you should do fine regardless of what happens.

The only thing that weirds me out about my updates (UR 7/11 -> UR 7/17) is that nobody on TLS updated with me on either date, though its still early today.

I still cannot access the Admitted Students Page. Also, the Decision Letter Sent update happened late afternoon yesterday, so it is likely that the letter is actually going out today.

Does anybody have any thoughts on whether I should call the admissions office? I am heading out of town tomorrow for a wedding, so I won't be able to check my mail until Sunday night. Also, if it turns out I did not get in for some reason, I need to get my deposit/commitment form to GULC by Monday. Is it worth it, or are they going to bite my head off?

Okay, thanks for that info. I am using the L as part of my LSAC #. I've even tried it in lower-case and upper-case.

That's why I recommend Jersey City. I have a pretty decent one-bedroom for $950 and it only takes 30 minutes door-to-door to NYU. Also, one of the major benefits of going to Columbia is more affordable living. I have a friend that got a decent 4-bedroom place (so he had 3 roommates), and they each only paid $500.
