I sure hope so... it'd be great to find out I'm in at G-ULC and at the same time find out it moved to the T13.. then I'd be more than happy to use the term "T13"prncaspian3 wrote:Yup, corrected....
It looks like we might have the last laugh, however...Once Georgetown actually does move into the T13, according to this year's soon-to-be-released US News and World Report.

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
I just received another letter of recommendation from a professor. Do you think that its too late to send it to in? How would I go about sending it? Thanks=p

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
From the Transfer FAQs...
Note: Georgetown Law requires only one letter of recommendation, although additional letters will be accepted. Consequently, an application is considered "complete" after receipt of all required materials and one letter of recommendation and will be forwarded to the Committee at that time. If you would like the Committee to consider additional recommendations before rendering a decision, please contact the Admissions Office in advance at admis@law.georgetown.edu and ask the Committee to hold your application until any additional recommendation(s) are received.
I would guess that at this point its too late...

Yeah, I remember having read that, I just wasn't sure if they had started reading the applications yet. They probably have. I wasn't expecting that letter to come in until later this month. However, my professor was blazing fast in turning it around. Thanks!

Email the admissions committee and ask, I am 95% sure you will be able to add it to your file. But you'd definitely want to send it to them directly, i.e. not through LSAC.

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
there is no "application in review" option or anything like that on the status check, right? It just goes from application complete to decision rendered? that would help me stop checking compulsively.

Can someone contact the admissions office and see when they expect decisions to come out, I'm too chicken to do it!

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
I would bet just about anything they will be out at the end of April. Not only would it be just ridiculous for them to be more than a month later than last year and almost two months later than 2 years ago, I honestly think they want to get them out before Chicago's ED come out and with enough time to get seat deposits from those students.

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
So I emailed the Ad Office...
Thank you for your email. Decisions on Early Action files typically go
out in early May. Sometimes they go out earlier, but usually in the
early May timeframe.
Sincerely,
Office of Admissions

I'm not saying anyone wasn't 100% correct with their information, but this response seems to indicate that this year will be just like all the others and decisions will be going out well before the END of may.

All I can offer is that the admissions officer I spoke with around noon told me decisions would be going out before the end of May. That definitely leaves the possibility of getting them out earlier, and, as at least one poster above said, they're probably hedging their bets.XM3045 wrote: I'm not saying anyone wasn't 100% correct with their information, but this response seems to indicate that this year will be just like all the others and decisions will be going out well before the END of may.

I can't wait any longer! I wish they didn't say that a decision would be rendered three weeks after the application is complete.xferAlt wrote:All I can offer is that the admissions officer I spoke with around noon told me decisions would be going out before the end of May. They don't, that's for first year applications, not transfersmjs1187 wrote:xferAlt wrote:XM3045 wrote:I can't wait any longer! I wish they didn't say that a decision would be rendered three weeks after the application is complete.

Re: Official Georgetown EA thread
It seems like the auto-admits get them mid-April, then there's a batch of deferrals, then some more late April and some EA people get them as late as May.
This is based off of trolling of some old GULC EA threads from last year and largely comes from my memory... so don't quote me.

For what it's worth, according to Transferapps, the earliest I saw was April 7th (2008) and the latest was May 7th (2009). Bulk of acceptances drop around the 23rd

I'd say we have about 16 more days before we find out anything

Anyone else think this semester has flown by compared to first semester?

Agreed. Although I don't think I like the possibility of waiting all month for a decision, or worse yet waiting anxiously only to get deferred. .bkthunder wrote:Anyone else think this semester has flown by compared to first semester?
