Very good. BU to GULC isn't a huge jump - 10 spots? I wouldn't recommend transferring to GULC unless you are 1) paying sticker 2) not on LR 3) hate boston and 4) want to work in DC. But keep your fingers crossed for C/N.

I think you're likely in at one of CLS/NYU.
I also agree with Vronsky that GULC isn't worth it. Hold out for CCN -- especially if you have $$ at BU.

I think top 15% puts you more in the Michigan/Northwestern/GULC-range than the CCNP range in terms of transferring. Though your shot is probably better at Penn then it is at CCN.

I'd love your input. I'm top 10% T40. Some WE, some softs. Where would I have a shot T10-20? Thanks!

3.76 at Midwest TTT. Class rank: 11/247, what should be my targets?

NU/Mich seem reach-y. Maybe look at Minnesota/Indiana/ND?

Is Michigan a legit shot? I don't want to waste the application money if there is no chance.

T25 school

Was top 5% in the fall, fell to top 15% in the spring. 3.7 GPA. Soft Teach For America.

Chances of getting in at UVA (VA resident), Northwestern, Michigan, and University of Washington?

Thoughts ... deciding if I should even submit the apps. to Michigan and Northwestern

I think you should apply to some top 14s since you are in a high ranked school.

I do not see how you would not get into U of Washington.

3.25 overall with a 3.4x during the spring, at a TTT, top 20%, good softs, year long internship and have held jobs at two law firms. Tennessee resident trying to transfer back to UT Knoxville and also looking at GA State, maybe. Chances? Thoughts on other places I might should throw an app?

NYU is an outside shot, since you're only top 6% at a TTT (usually you need top 1-2%, and 2 is pushing it). However, NYU has been known to be rather weird in who they accept. Maybe 2.5 yrs WE will get you in.

Fordham has been horrendously picky in previous cycles. People that got into NYU were denied at Fordham and there are roughly 30 ranks between the schools.

I wouldn't bet the farm on either school with your numbers, sorry.

You're in the right place with TTs. UGA would be a reach for your numbers alone. If you're looking at around the south, I'd consider UK, UofR, Baylor, and FSU.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take, but if money is an issue, then pass on the Michigan app. It's probably in the 90-95% ding range, but I'm bullish on taking a shot regardless. NYU is a T6 who has been known to accept people slightly askew of the typical numbers range.

So, TT between 8-12% (no rank, TLS calculator gave me this); got GW & WUSTL EA; dinged at GULC and UVA, Vanderbilt pending.

Are there any T-14s that are even a chance if I'm dinged from Georgetown or should I just enjoy GW? Maternal family lives in NC, sister is in NY, 2 years WE, didn't do home schools write-on since I knew I was transferring.

NU, Duke maybe. I don't see ~Top 10% TT being a strong contender for HLS, CCN, or MVP. With ties to NC maybe Duke is a bit better, but your app should have been in awhile ago.

GW is a good school, should be pleased with that if nothing else.

In at GW but passed on seat deposit

Waitlisted at GULC, dinged at UVA

still have apps out at Columbia, NYU, Michigan, Penn. my goal is to do big law in DC or NY.

is it worth throwing apps at Duke and Northwestern at this point?
I would say definitely yes, according to Arrow's estimates anyway. From what I understand, UVA is a bit more of a black box than other T14s because of the preference for VA residents and small class size. It seems like transferring is a total crap shoot, so the more schools, the better.

Top 15 in class, or Top 15%. Those could be very different.

GOD DAMMIT

Still waiting on my 3rd LOR. All of my other stuff is ready to go (and in my LSAC cart). I'm worried all of these delays are going to negatively impact my cycle. The letter should be processed any day now (prof assured me she sent it last Friday).

Trying to decide if I should just submit all of my applications with just 2 letters and ignore the third. I don't really know how strong of a letter it will be anyway.

I'm pretty sure you can submit before the third arrives and they will still get it.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
