Im still convinced you wouldn't get a PW if you weren't accepted...quiver wrote:wow, interesting. so are we now uncertain that username/password means accepted?
They gave you a username and password for the admitted students website...that's like getting the golden ticket to the chocolate factory and it's just not that special day yet.
What it may mean is that the batches aren't divided into "1) auto admit, 2) 50/50" etc

Re: Georgetown EA 2011 Thread
Congrats on those with the username/PW... that's how I found out last year that I was accepted. It took me a few days, however, to get into the site.
The letter comes about a week later via snail mail in a big white envelope, with the acceptance letter, and some information about clinics. Or that's how it happened last year. And it has a sheet asking you to pay $800.

Re: Georgetown EA 2011 Thread
It seems like there really wasn't much of a second wave last year and almost everyone who got in was an auto-admit...

That's always been my guess...lol.ms2010 wrote:so are the rest of us most likely getting deferred/rejected?
I've been hoping for a deferral this entire time...but wanted to apply ED/EA in order to demonstrate my interest in GTown...at least on some level...
Here's to hoping.

To the people who scrolled through last year's thread: were there any acceptances AFTER the first wave of auto admits? What about this mythical 50/50 accept/deferral second batch?

Re: Georgetown EA 2011 Thread
It definitely won't be 50/50. There were a few people that made it the second batch, but it seemed like most peopel received an email on the Tuesday of the second week saying they were deferred.hoyasaxon wrote:To the people who scrolled through last year's thread: were there any acceptances AFTER the first wave of auto admits? maf70, what would you say the split was, roughly, for the second batch? accept/deferral 10/90? 30/70? 3/97 lol?

Re: Georgetown EA 2011 Thread
Thanks, it actually looks like there was one wave of admits, and everything else following the initial wave...deferrals. yay.

Re: Georgetown EA 2011 Thread
My completed app date changed from 4/18 to 4/20 today, but I don't have a username/password for admitted students site. I almost hate to even throw this info in the mix because the speculation is causing me an ulcer...
