I went into review around 7/1. My application was submitted a bit late in June and it took time for all of my materials to get there since NYU requires everything mailed direct rather than through LSAC.

Got a decision letter sent and a ups tracking notification just now.
Have no idea what it is.

Sorry, I'm a longtime lurker, wasn't sure what the protocol was. I'm surprised bc I don't think I was that competitive.

Application sent 6/30, I think it was under review 7/3, 7/7, an 7/8.

3.79 GPA, t1 (top 35), just out of the top ten percent

i'm saving you from 1) questioning what the DLS and UPS means and 2) being pm'd for stats. I've been around this thread for a while so i've seen it happen every.single.day.

congrats again! you'll probably get a housing email in 6-8minutes. tomorrow accepted students info via email and a package by UPS with info stuff. unfrotunately no swag, tho.

Just read last years transfer thread and it appears that those people who went UR3 in late June or early July without any further updates in early July didn't hear about an acceptance/rejection until late July (July 17-26). Really hoping they speed up that process this year.

Ahhh I hope so too.

Did you happen to tally how many of those were acceptances and how many were rejections? Is there a trend

Applicant Online Status Check Login Info 6/30
DLS 7/8

Nothing in between, no URs or any of that jazz. Undergrad still hasn't sent in College Questionnaire, as I type this.
Received a UPS Quantum email around 3 pm yesterday. No housing notification.
top ~30% lower T14, so not stellar numbers either

are they sending out dings via snail mail this year?

No. You were accepted. They wouldn't waste time on sending rejections by the mail. The housing thing is weird though.

To be honest I haven't heard of NYU accepting someone from an unranked school BUT that doesn't mean it has never happened or that it couldn't happen. Do you mind if I ask what your lsat was? I know they don't care.. mine was 161. In hindsight I should have just retaken it.

FWIW I also don't think we will see any movement for the rest of this week and then a nice batch on Monday.
