From TX
UT, Mich, Vandy, NW?
NW/Mich, I'd say probably not, but you don't have zero chance.
UT - depends on if you can convince them you need to be in Austin/Texas. I'd guess no just because they basically don't take transfers.

CLS - probably notheeloftar wrote:Alright, let's give it another shot. Ranked 3/135 after spring grades from a TTT.
In at Emory, but shots at these schools?
Columbia
Berkeley
Virginia
Duke
Northwestern
Georgetown
Berkeley - good chance if your from CA or go to a CA TTT
Virginia - only apply if you're a VA resident
Duke - really really small class size
NW - probably IN
GULC - probably IN
You need to add Michigan to this list. They're very kind to "top of the class" TTT people. Scrub either UVA or Duke.

No. About half off sticker. I'm unlikely to transfer, but I figured I owed it to myself to at least think it through.keg411 wrote:Are you paying sticker?shackleton wrote:DCNG

Re: What are your chances? I'll chance you
Hello,
I finished the year ranked 3/355 (Top 1%) with a 3.81 GPA at Hofstra Law School (ranked #89 in USNWR). I've already applied to CLS, NYU, and Fordham, but I thought I would post here to see how others would gauge my shot at those schools. No strong softs, except that I'm already in the NY area.

Hello all,
I was hoping someone can "chance me" as well.
Top 35, top 9%. Looking at NW, MI, UVA, and Penn. Do I have any shot at CCN?
Thanks for the help!

You'll get both. And you probably shouldn't give up your rank for them.myuniverse wrote:Hello, I don't know how I missed this thread.

+1. Stay where you're at - median at either school is a pretty shitty place to be.aca0260 wrote:You'll get both. And you probably shouldn't give up your rank for them.myuniverse wrote:Hello, I don't know how I missed this thread.

Even considering that Hastings (maybe Davis, just applied and haven't called to ask) offers a separate journal write-on process for transfers?in_reverie wrote:+1. If you were top 5%, maybe you'd have a shot at Penn/NYU/CLS, but not at top 10%.
If you really need to be on the east coast, GW/BU/BC should be your targets.

I think you get into both NYU and CLS but it's not a definite. Might want to throw an app at Penn too just because all of the NYC-T2 students will be flooding the NYU/CLS app pool. Fordham is definitely is not worth it.harmonep14 wrote:Hello,

Yes, you probably have a shot at CLS/NYU. Otherwise, those are good target schools.nightoffire wrote:Hello all,

Only worth it if your current T2 is not in CA and you're from CA/want to go back there. Otherwise, just stay where you're at.myuniverse wrote:Hello, I don't know how I missed this thread.

I'd guess that you have a chance if you really are top 10%. But 3.6 seems a little low GPA-wise to be top 10% unless ND has a horrible curve.ivyhopeful56 wrote:~3.6 at ND (not sure percentage, but based on another thread people are saying this is about top 10%)

Yeah, we don't rank so it is hard to tell. How would it change if it was top 15%? I guess I should add full-time work while in school (if that helps)
