In via email just now. Can't believe it - so much to do. I will 99% be attending. Columbia is my first choice. Still haven't received a decision from NYU.
Stats:
NY area school in the 80s
GPA 3.85
From the South, but explicitly emphasized my desire to be in New York or abroad.
Worked overseas 2 years before law school.
Funny - I just told my boss I would be able to stay on for another week in August, but orientation will certainly get in the way of that.

Rejected via mail yesterday. At least it was good timing, since I mailed my deposit to NYU that morning.

I expect many dings (mine included) will be arriving shortly.
BRING ON THE DINGS. (Not trying to be a dick, just ready to know one way or another.)

Unfortunately I would guess that you probably correct as CLS' bididng for OCI closed yesterday at 5PM. I would guess that they try to get in most of their transfers before that deadline.

I read on their website that in order to participate in OCI, you have to be admitted at least one week prior to OCI. So that gives us until August 2, I think.

I think something that should serve good closure for some of us is the following information. Columbia will be running its EIP (OCI) lottery on the morning of Monday, July 30th. On August 1 and 2, Columbia will be able to manually add students to open interview slots remaining with its EIP interviewers (probably slots for employers that weren't very demanded). What this means is that if you don't receive your acceptance by the end of day Friday, July 27th, you will not have an opportunity with the majority of firms in EIP, and if not before Aug 2, then no EIP at all. I would say that if one has a choice between a top school and its OCI event, and Columbia without EIP, Columbia should come out the loser in that choice. What's the point of going to Columbia without getting an opportunity to interview with top firms as a Columbia student? But if the choice is a TT school where OCI is probably minimal anyway (mine had about 30 firms attend last year), Columbia would probably be the winning choice, with the hope of obtaining an interview through other recruiting events and guerrilla tactics. I personally have been admitted to another top 10 school, so by Friday evening I will have closure and peace of mind.
Good luck to all and take care.

Nope! Just went from incomplete to the email complete (status checker updated to "complete" too, but I still show missing documents).

Same here, except for I no longer show missing documents. I wish that means something cheery for me *fingers crossed*

I'd say it looks like most of us have our answer. I do wish they would have given us definite responses instead of this sort rejection by default, but I guess when you are Columbia University you can do as you please.
Best of luck to everyone wherever they end up.

Since a number of people went complete yesterday I thought atleast some of them would have gotten in today because the pattern for the last 2 weeks has been complete -> admit the following day.
I guess the class is somewhat full since CLS must have tried to admit the students they wanted by now knowing many will not come after monday because CLS with no OCI isn't a viable option unless the old school was truly mehhh.

I was 'complete' a week before this and still no word. Was fully expecting snail mail rejection once people started saying Tues-Sat that they were receiving them, but nothing so far.
Maybe my mailman misdelivered my ding..
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
