You'll probably get GULC and Vandy. You likely won't get Duke and NYU. I don't think Vandy is worth it for you, and you'll have to think hard about whether GULC is.Classygal87 wrote:T40 Top 8%

Only transfer if you get H AND if it would be cheaper then wherever you currently go. You're in easily at CLS/NYU but I don't see either as worth it for you.zjs4 wrote:T15, in the top 6% range.

3.83 at Top 30. I don't have my rank yet (and my school only releases 5 point percentage bands anyway). Historically the cutoff for top 5 percent has been 3.7ish I believe, but who knows. At a CA school and want to practice in CA. CA resident too.
Already applied to Berkeley and Stanford. Applying to Harvard, Columbia, and maybe Chicago or Penn.

Alright long shot here. UCLA from a 45-55 in LA market. should land right in the top 20%. I have a summer associateship at big law, don't know if that helps or not. Is there a chance or is it pointless?

IN at Berkeley, Penn
LIKELY IN at Columbia
MAYBE at Chicago (small class size)
LIKELY OUT at Harvard
OUT at Stanford (unless S undergrad or one of your recommendations is from a S alumni who will go to bat for you).

Just try to get an offer from your SA firm and then you're in good shape, school ranking be damned.hallet wrote:Alright long shot here. That said, since your school is the in the LA market, I'd imagine a lot of people higher than you in terms of rank will probably apply, so at top 20% it may be too competitive. Like I said, focus on getting an offer.

Yes for HCCN, no for Y... but acutally maybe seeing as you published. Would you take Y over H if you got both?lawgrl14 wrote:School Rank: 18-20

I'm not very familiar outside the T14 but I doubt it. Isn't GW better than the rest, anyways?TNFSkier16 wrote:3.16/ Top 28%/ Low T2 - GW, WM, GM, WL

Yes at CNP. It actually matters if you are 1 or 2 for H, though. If you have WE, you should be good. If not, be happy with Columbia.canesfan1986 wrote:Now that I finally have my grades back, someone chance me.

Probably a decent shot, but you should be warned that sports entertaniment law is an overcrowded field.Zagsundevil52 wrote:Gonzaga top 10% (barely) .. Decent softs, good summer job . 1 CALI.. Want to transfer to ucla or USC and get into Sports entertainment law

Berkley will be tough without west coast ties, but you should get one of CNP. Don't bother with NW given your current position.jumpingship wrote:Rank 8-9% T25-20

Good chance at MCNG (but be forewarned about Cornell's OCI rule)
Don't both with UVA/Duke (class sizes are too small)

Re: What are your chances? I'll chance you
I have no idea. To be honest, I think I probably won't even end up applying to Y as it's such a long shot and I'm pretty cash strapped right now. Just really hoping borderline marks and a few interesting resume points will be enough to nudge me into H. I'd really like to be able to consider academia in the future.Vronsky wrote:Yes for HCCN, no for Y... but acutally maybe seeing as you published.
