T14 Transfer Status Change Thread Forum

A forum for those current students who are or may be transferring from one school to another. Post any questions, advice, or other transfer related comments here.
Forum rules
Anonymous Posting

Anonymous posting is only available to the creator of each thread. The anonymous posting feature is intended to permit the solicitation of anonymous advice regarding the transfer application process, chances of being accepted, etc. Unacceptable uses include: testing the feature, questions which are clearly fake or hypothetical in nature, harassing other users, etc. Posters should also read and understand the announcements posted at the top of the Transfers forum prior to using the anonymous feature.

Failure to follow these rules will get you outed, warned, or banned.

Thanks. Now I have a real tough decision, with first deposit due next in one week (wow, so rushed). My app wasn't totally complete until middle of last week, and it went under review june 30th or something. I don't recall exactly, but it was no longer than a week ago.

I don't even know what to do. My current school (T25 in Northeast) is set to give me 50K over the next 2 years. I'm in the top 10% of my class, but only made a secondary journal. Is Penn worth the additional 50K? Wow, I hate/love choices

Yeah, that is definitely factoring into my decision. If I had LR, I would lean toward staying. But now I guess I have some research to do.

Congrats on everyone in at Penn! So jealous of y'all. REALLY want Penn, though I'm concerned I'll never be complete there.
On the plus side, I'm complete at Northwestern -- though they randomly backdated my completion to 6/17.

I got a phone call from NYU today updating me on the documents they have received. I was at work so just got a voicemail letting me know what they have, don't have, and how my status checker will reflect any more updates.

Just an important note that everyone thinking of transferring must know. Several firms in the school you'll be transferring to will NOT even consider you for employment because you are a transfer! I left a school where my dream firm did oci at to go to a school where that firm also does oci at, and now that same firm won't interview me....
