I am drawn to PI, but given that it's a lot easier to go from firm --> PI than vice versa, and given that I'd like to pay off my loans, I'm exploring all options. I have interviewed (and will continue, hopefully, to interview) at both types of employers.

ya, SBL and Public Interest. We have a big PI event at Hastings in the spring...if I strike out at OCI I'll probably be applying there

I don't know, biglaw really isn't for me IMO and even if I get lucky (got an interview from sending out like 10 apps and I think I'm just going to cancel it), I would secretly be sort of wishing they'd just say no. SO.......I think I'm just going to accept the fact that I am a unique little snowflake and have my own path in life.

JazzOne- yeah, I think I've decided not to even pursue OCI. It's just not for me. Good to see others feel the same way.

deadpanic- helz yeah! I'm getting my WA fishing license tomorrow and going to go catch some silvers (coho salmon for those that don't know). I have a nice spot that I can usually catch my limit each day so that'll be some fun and some good barbequing.
