Anyone do the write on or plan on doing it? Also curious as to how second semester grades turned out for my fellow peeps who were freaking out. My second semester grades dropped quite a bit and my cumulative GPA also took a dip despite my best efforts but not anything too drastic I feel.

Definitely doing write on, assuming I don't magically hear from CCN (pipe dreams) before the last week in June. Grades dropped just a touch, but still sitting pretty well. Hoped to do better, but it is what it is. Are you definitely attending? EIW?Elfy wrote:Anyone do the write on or plan on doing it? Also planning on doing write on. Grades actually improved slightly. Should be around 8% at TT. Still hoping for a couple other schools though.

Yeah looks like I should have just signed the deposit waiver and saved some money because I probably won't get into any other better schools. So definitely looks like I'm attending! Also plan on doing EIW but now I'm a little worried due to the grade drop.EncyclopediaOrange wrote:Definitely doing write on, assuming I don't magically hear from CCN (pipe dreams) before the last week in June. Any thoughts on when RD decisions might come out? Spring grades are trickling in.

Write on is awful. If I could go back in time, I would not do write on. Even if you get law review, all that really means is a shit ton of work. If you don't get on law review and instead get a secondary journal, biglaw employers could careless and you're still stuck with journal work for the next 2 years.

The write on is indeed sucking the soul out of me. I feel like Im making it way harder on myself than it needs to be but can't help it. Hearing this also doesn't add much motivation lol. Did you do it and get a secondary journal that an employer didn't care much about?Londonbear wrote:Write on is awful. If I could go back in time, I would not do write on. When is write on? Im thinking that if I get accepted after write on I wont go. It is indeed important if you want to do a clerkship.

I sent in the last required documents (LOR's) on the 8th. Yesterday the status checker confirmed that my app was complete, and today I received the admittance email.

Does GULC accept unofficial transcripts for consideration? Didn't see any details on their website.

Call or email if you want to know for sure, but worst case you send them in and they just say we can't take em. I'd just send.Bilka wrote:Does GULC accept unofficial transcripts for consideration? Didn't see any details on their website.

The point is any secondary journal = employers don't care about.Elfy wrote:The write on is indeed sucking the soul out of me. I e-mailed my unofficial transcript as well. I'm hoping we hear sometime next week.

Is that really the case? Is it not worth it then? Any one else have experience with that?Londonbear wrote:The point is any secondary journal = employers don't care about.Elfy wrote:The write on is indeed sucking the soul out of me. Re: Georgetown Transfer 2016 (Class of 2018)
Can someone give me feedback on the write-on competition. How many hours per day, in that 7 day span, should one devote to completing the packet? I understand it should be as much as possible, but I work full time (9-5). Would it be possible to go to work and do the write-on or should I take time off?
