I don't know why they bothered to give you all the WL email today, since I'm sure there are going to be a LOT of new admits starting Tuesday, aka the day after the seat deposit deadline.

To the WL'rs: does your status checker still say "application complete" or did it change to "decision made"? Haven't gotten a WL email yet but I suspect that's because I just went complete late today. Sucks!

Did anybody here have their complete status refresh to 6/27?
If yes, rank/numbers?

Re: Georgetown Transfer Waiting Thread 2013
My exact thought... But they stated, "let us know if you are interested in remaining on the Waiting List and to notify us of any deadlines you may be facing" in the letter so I dunno what that means? "deadlines" ... Yeah, I need time to submit bids, so like 5 days before they are due...stillwater wrote: didnt apply to gulc but if youre looking at late august youre not doing OCI

Re: Georgetown Transfer Waiting Thread 2013
I got waitlisted yesterday. Which I'm pretty excited about since it was kind of a longshot to begin with. Is everyone who didn't get accepted just being put on the waitlist? Am I not the special snowflake I always thought I was?

Re: Georgetown Transfer Waiting Thread 2013
For reference: EA -> 6/10 -> 6/20 -> 6/28 WL'd.
I poked my head in the admissions office today, so I thought I'd share what little information I gleaned. First, they are not done reviewing applications for the first time so for y'all without a decision yet there is certainly still hope! Second, for us WLs, she told me that they will likely not review apps for the second time until late July/early August. Essentially, SOL for EIW. The person I spoke with tried to explain that the OCS is flexible with late transfers and usually get them 1-2 interviews (fack me, right?). Third, she said they would not provide the number of how many WL's got pulled off last year. Then she tried to present to me that they do not keep track (lies lies lies).
Sorry to bring bad news for WLs, but there you have it.
Edit: For someone that sees no point in attending without a chance at OCI, this was the nail in the coffin for me.

Re: Georgetown Transfer Waiting Thread 2013
Yeah so lame... Sent my "I wish to be on the WL email today" which responded to their original question of "... to notify us of any deadlines you may be facing" ... With need to know by July 11th so I can contact CSO and participate in EIW... Lost cause but worth a shotScoot Scoot wrote: Sorry to bring bad news for WLs, but there you have it.
