You have a good chance at all of those, but I would say you should focus your consideration on YSH, whereas you might want to stay rather than go to C. do you have scholarship?
Thanks - we'll see about HYS. S & Y seem to be tough for anyone not in the top 1%, but I figured they're still worth the application fee. I am paying full tuition at my current school, although I've heard they offer the top 3-5% a bit of money.

School: Midwestern TT/TTT
GPA: 3.65 (Top 5%, probably ranked 10th-12th)
Journal: Primary LR (grade-on)
Scholarship: Full-tuition

My school does alright in its city and the immediate surrounding area, but its regional reach is very short, and while I don't hate the city/area (i.e. would work here long-term if I had to), I would like the opportunity of increased mobility job-wise. I'm here with my SO who is in the 3rd year of a 6 year PhD program (she will be able to get a job wherever I manage to find one when I graduate).

I got my undergrad degree at UMich, and transferring back to finish up LS would be awesome. Would I be competitive there? Is there any sort of transfer bump for those who did undergrad at their target school?

Which other T-14 schools would I have a realistic chance to transfer to? I'm trying to balance the admittedly nice/cheap setup I have at the moment with the potential benefits of transferring... there are a handful of T1 schools in the 15-35 range within a reasonable distance, worth leaving a full-ride and LR for?

Any help/info/advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

School: T2 (50-60)
GPA: 3.7; Ranked 7 / ~250
Journal: LR (grade on)
Scholly: None (but after my spring grades released, they preemptively offered *some* merit scholarships).
Applying to: CCNMVP, Berk, Duke, & NW.

What do you think?

Ok, Vronsky. I'm ready to be chanced. This should be fun

Midwest TTT
GPA: 3.6
Rank: Top 12ish%
(I will grade onto LR if I stay at present school)

Transfer Schools:
George Washington
GULC
Northwestern (I know <1% chance, but good friends with a prof there, hopefully a boost) (I'm also a legacy)
Cardozo
U of Illinois
Florida
Emory
Fordham

What are my chances? Any other schools I should consider? Not tied to any area particularly. Prefer east coast (DC/NY) or Chicago area.

Anyone know how we find out class rank? Grades are in, but rank isn't on the transcript.

3.3 GPA at a lower T2. School doesn't rank.
In at GW (EA - before my spring grades lowered me from a 3.5).
Deferred EA at GULC. I don't expect to get in RD either.
My school is in the NYC area, so I had thought about applying to NYU and Columbia, but now that I'm down to a 3.3, I think it's a lost cause (Even 3.5 was a stretch, I think). Sound about right? As much as I'm thinking that I should take the chance, I don't have the money to waste right now on apps.

I' m trying to transfer into FSU, UF, or Stetson (last choice). Im at a school ranked in the late 60's but decently respected. All of my grades have been B's, which is our curve, except one A- and one C (got screwed but nothing I can do now). Im still waiting for one more grade. I went to a good undergrad and majored in engineering. I also have a masters. My school hasn't released my rank so I don't know what it is. I have strong ties to Florida and a solid letter of recommendation from one of my 1L professors. Also, I wrote a transfer statement that highlighted my ties to FL. I just submitted my apps but my transcripts wont be mailed till tomorrow.

FSU is TT but ranked around 51 or 52, UF is ranked around 48, and stetson is TTT.

Does anyone know if I stand a chance at any of these schools. I would love to end up at UF or FSU.

Thanks

3.76 GPA at Midwest TTT. Don't know class rank, median GPA is 3.0.
Chances at UMN? Does it hurt that I've applied there and was rejected a year ago?

I don't know if any T1 school is worth it, but your best chances in the T14 are probably GULC and Mich

Eh, I dunno. Really T4? That's tough. I think the UC schools are your best bet though, have you considered Hastings as well?

I think you're going to have a hard time cracking the T14, but the schools in the T20 range you have here (GW, Emory, etc) are the target schools.

Forget UVA, you should be a lock for H and an outside shot at YS

I don't think you're going to lose GW, but I don't think you will get anything else. Be happy you got in EA.

This is a bit of a unique situation that I'm not very familiar with, but FSU and UF are the go-to schools if you want to practice in florida, and are essential lateral (slight upgrades) from where you are, so you have a good chance.

Going to apply to Northwestern. Worth an app for Penn or Michigan?
Eh I guess you could apply to P and Mich, but you should really be aiming at GULC.

Two B's balanced out with two A+'s my first semester.
Much more conventional A/A- mix in the spring.
Strong ties to the midwest.
Black male, fwiw.

Even worth applying at HYS? What about Chicago? Don't think I'd leave $$$ here for anything else.
I don't think there is a boost for URM/AA. I also don't think it's worth an app at HYS, but you might consider Columbia/NYU/Penn.
