Is it even a for-sure thing that a date change like this would mean a decision has been made? Can't there be several date-changes before a decision is made? I suppose, based on past admits' experiences, there may be such a correlation. But I don't know..

nope. yes.

Basically mindless speculation. Just hoping things stay the same as past years. Dean Cornblatt has been there for a while and so has the director of admissions Alison Spada. So continuity is possible, though not a guarantee.

My status date changed again to todays date. Not feeling very good about this development.

Any particular reason why this is a worrisome development?

3 status changes in a week....seems ominious to me. Hopefully it is good news, but I'm definitely more worried now.

Last year, later date updates indicated deferrals while unchanged initial status updates received acceptances.

Pure speculation, really.

This isn't entirely correct. Last year some folks got a 3/27 update, whereas the rest got 3/28. Both 3/27 and 3/28 had a subsequent status change date (4/2) that was the same. 3/27 was accepted, 3/28 deferred. The subsequent date didn't have any effect.

we should know this week. This is odd though. I think it's very unlikely that only two people here would be deferred and the rest accepted based off these numbers. I think the 4/4 update is a mix of acceptances and something else. Not sure what to make of those only with the 4/7 update because no one with lower stats has said they didn't update on 4/4. I don't know- very confusing.

I don't buy into yield protect- transfer admissions don't impact ranking is my understanding.
