A forum for those current students who are or may be transferring from one school to another. Post any questions, advice, or other transfer related comments here.

Anonymous Posting

Anonymous posting is only available to the creator of each thread. The anonymous posting feature is intended to permit the solicitation of anonymous advice regarding the transfer application process, chances of being accepted, etc. Unacceptable uses include: testing the feature, questions which are clearly fake or hypothetical in nature, harassing other users, etc. Posters should also read and understand the announcements posted at the top of the Transfers forum prior to using the anonymous feature.

Failure to follow these rules will get you outed, warned, or banned.

I received an email from NYU Career Services yesterday that began with "Congratulations on your acceptance to NYU School of Law!" and continued with important OCI dates. I guess the LOCI I sent yesterday did it! I can't explain how excited and surprised I was by that email!!

Nor can I explain the depths to which my heart sank when I realized the email was in response to a question I had emailed, and that the person emailing me had misinterpreted my email. They thought I was emailing because I had already been accepted. Alas, I am still stuck in purgatory. Ouch.

I'm scrolling through last year's NYU transfer threat and it seems like around this time last year they were making offers to people. So there seems to be hope!

Has anyone called today or yesterday? Or otherwise gotten an indication of when more acceptanecs might come? Need to make a decision on housing for my current transfer choice.

hmmm according to my Status checker they havent received my College Questionnaire or my Official Undergrad Transcript, and yet i have been UR since 7/12. Currently at UR 7/19. Both of these items were submitted 2-3 weeks ago. Maybe they never got around to updating the status checker or something? Or can the app go under review even without these two items? (esp considering the undergrad transcript is included in the CAS report anyway). Anyone have a clue?

Based on last years thread, it looks like some people got in the last week of July. Maybe we'll see some action at the beginning of next week.

Either we're a much calmer or much smaller bunch, but we are far less active on this year's thread than our counterparts last year.
