I mean, I plan on it (I have a fee waiver so why not regardless). I just have to do better than I did last semester to even really stand a chance, I was only around 8-12%. I'm going to need to do significantly better to really crack a lot of the T14s.

I really hope I can stay at my current GPA level or even remotely increase it. I should get into ONE of the T14s with my GPA I feel like. Just gotta fucking study my ass off for my next finals. I studied hard for my first one but I need to double time that shit for the rest of them, I guess. I can deal with not having a life for a few days. Not too big of a deal.

Me too. I just sent it today via certified mail to make sure I have proof that it gets there - hopefully it'll get there on time. I'm in the NY area.TTRansfer wrote:Checks in the mail!!

Was the Director of Admissions out sick again today? If so maybe we should send him/her a get well card w/ our LSAC Numbers. Lol

You know, despite my hopes with the GULC EA, I am actually really psyched about GW. I never thought I'd be in at a T20, especially considering how low my GPA was in college. I'm really excited and looking forward to the fall now!

I didn't hear anything today. I'm really hoping there are some acceptances in this batch, repeatedly pushing back a decision just to defer everyone is pretty cruel.

I think this poster has it right. Probably best to sit on your hands until middle of next week.Hoping5000 wrote:No one will probably get a reply until after the 30th deadline. Why would they let new people in until they know that people will not be taking the offer already given to them. And now with Georgetown waiting you will probably need to wait a bit longer... most of us will give the deposit in and wait out Georgetown. Not to sound harsh but don't want people to waste time so giving you guys the facts.

May I suggest the admits start their own thread? This is a waiting thread, and those who are still waiting may not enjoy reading gloating posts by those who are already admitted. No offense; just some sensitivity here would be appreciated. Also, it will help to keep the posts relevant to the topic under which they are posted. Thanks.

Dude, your time may soon come, don't despair. I was sad to get left behind by GULC on 4/20 Island, but I still was happy to congratulate the new admits and didn't begrudge them their posts on the subject. It seems a bit premature to start yet another thread just for the first wave of EA admits.Sam wrote:May I suggest the admits start their own thread? When is orientation? I didn't even realize we'd HAVE an orientation. Guessing they are going to do it the same day as the normal one.DD352 wrote:I was told not until orientation.rockthered86 wrote:Has anyone been able to register for classes yet?

I think it's like August 13th or something. And I'm pretty sure its separate from incoming 1L orientation. And idea as to how big the transfer class size is for GW?TTRansfer wrote:When is orientation? I didn't even realize we'd HAVE an orientation. Re: George Washington Early Action Waiting Thread
The new thread would be for all transfer admits, not just the first wave of EA admits. And more people can join the thread as they get in, so it would only be premature to start a thread if no transfer applicant had gotten in yet. It's not about begrudging anyone. I don't know you and have no reason to resent your success. Congratulations on getting in! Really! My suggestion was offered for the purpose of taking the in-your-face aspect of some of these posts out of the equation. Nonetheless, I didn't write to start some debate. You guys will either do it because you want to show more sensitivity, or you won't care.Lawst wrote:Dude, your time may soon come, don't despair. Do they notify you in any way when they receive your seat deposit? I know I'm not the only one who sent mine this week, but still would like to worry a bit less.

Not sure, I think I'm going to email the admissions office just to inform that I am, indeed, accepting their offer of admissions. Just to cover all bases if the postal service runs a little tardy.Lawst wrote:Do they notify you in any way when they receive your seat deposit? Re: George Washington Early Action Waiting Thread
Good idea. I doubt they would turn down a $1,000 check if it shows up May 1 or isn't opened until May 1, but you never know. As I mentioned earlier, I had a seat deposit check get lost (lawst?) in the mail last year, so I tend to worry about it now. My first exam is Monday, and I have other things to worry about.crossarmant wrote:Not sure, I think I'm going to email the admissions office just to inform that I am, indeed, accepting their offer of admissions. I did that and they said it was not a problem. You should be fine. Just let them know.crossarmant wrote:Not sure, I think I'm going to email the admissions office just to inform that I am, indeed, accepting their offer of admissions. They didn't let me know they had received my deposit. I called about 5 days after it was sent and confirmed they had received it.
Make sure you follow up.
