Well, classes start much later at UW b/c we are on a quarter system, so I get a one month extension on my summer vacation. I don't know what I'm going to do for the next month. Maybe get extremely settled in, focus on ESPN a lot, fish, you know, the really important things. That or gun.

As the dust settles, many unanswered questions have popped up. The transfer to clerkship mystery is tripping me out and already lighting a fire under me to do well academically, especially next year. I am not convinced that all hope is lost for transfers strictly b/c of the LOR situation and "1 year of grades" thing. Well, at least for state clerkships. A state supreme court of even state appellate court clerkship would likely serve me almost as well as a federal clerkship with my future plans. I don't think many people can truly appreciate how well regarded UW is in the NW unless they've lived here for awhile. A graduate from my firm said, with a 100% straight face, that UW is far and away a better school than GULC when I mentioned the schools I had applied to. Everyone nodded in agreement. A LOT of school pride and loyalty in these parts. The peeps around here don't just think UW is on par with national schools, they truly believe it is superior. I'm convinced this thinking holds true for everthing around here (and other cities like Portland) except for maybe the biggest of biglaw or federal level clerkships.
Opera: HAHA! I've always known every one of your anon posts were yours, b/c you speak very eloquently and politely. You exude kindness and goodheartedness.
