On another topic, I think I am dying right now. 13 apps out and not a peep from any of them. I mean, let's all just admit that I am absolutely screwed here.

Stay positive buddy. I wouldn't ring the death knell until late July. I have a feeling that this week/next week will be eventful. Thereafter, because many deposits are due on the 15th, there should be some action later in July. Thus, keep the faith.

A'nold, while I don't post nearly as much as you do, I have been around TLS long enough (I think we've been on about the same amount of time, lol) to know that you're quite genuine and always striving to give people encouragement and advice when warranted. Thus, I think you've got some good karma coming to you, so I have a feeling you won't need to wait until late July for some good news.
Thanks man and thanks jlockhart. I appreciate the encouragement.

It's just all of a sudden freaking me out that so many people on this site have been getting acceptances to schools I've applied to, including target schools where I thought I had at least a 50/50 chance (Emory, WUSTL, Minn. kind of schools) and I haven't even heard from one school, haha. I refresh my email at work about 1,000 times a day which is likely not even an exaggeration and it's just BLANK. Ugh. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent and thanks for your guys' encouragement. :)

When do schools give rejections? If they don't like you, do they just let you hang until classes have already begun?

thexfactor wrote:See the problem is that Im in a bad spot. Im almost "auto admit" at GW and Washu, but very iffy and marginal at USC UCLA Vandy Gulc. With the grades that I got, only getting into GW or Washu will be seen as a huge dissapointment. The situation is very similar to the U.S. performance in the World Cup. Before the world cup, if I was to tell you that you were going to be in the round of 16, everyone would be leaping for joy. Same with my situation, before exams if someone told me that you could have Washu or GW as a binding early, I would have taken it in a heartbeat! However, expectations change. Hope is a dangerous thing.... Sometimes I think I would be happier if I didnt do as well.
lawschool7777 wrote:i dont get why you are all freaking out? correct me if im wrong, but transferapps indicates many many schools that dont even start notifying until july. it seems like most people dont get in until july anyway.
For realz, this is was kind of my problem as well, but now it's even worse. Before ever attending my t3, I would have killed for WUSTL or Minn., then when I did great 1st semester I started dreaming. Then after I did worse 2nd semester (sort of) WUSTL and Minn. started looking great again. Now that I haven't heard a peep I'm thinking I will be going back to my t3 in a month and a half.

thexfactor wrote:im getting really paranoid. If i sent my LS transcript to LSAC, it automatically sends it to the law school right? I dont need to send an additional transcript to that law school correct?
It sends it, but be not necessarily the exact day it posts on LSAC depending on when the school requests the updated report. I thought I was complete a bunch of places from a LOR that posted last week, but they only got the stupid report today! I ended up going complete at the last places I applied to first.

Also, it's barely July, no panicking yet! Everyone go get a beer. At the very least, do it so I'm not drinking the stress away all by myself here

I asked the same question in the thread entitled "NYU Status." I got mine in one week, but I'm still incomplete after a week and a half.

Anyone get into Chicago or NU yet? I have status checkers for both, but they haven't been updated since I submitted my app about 10 days ago.

My Chicago status checker went from "application received" to "application complete" a few days ago. I submitted last week.

Dinged at Duke. No surprise for obvious reasons, haha.

Top 14%, t3, much higher section rank (approx 5%ish, it's a whole thing).

Hey, I wanted decisions, right?

Sorry, yeah, it was by email. You guys don't have to worry, haha, Duke was like a 2% shot at best, if we are to be honest. I wouldn't have applied if I had known my rank.

Just found out that one of my LORs specifically mentions Harvard...though I have to send it to Yale too. :|

Wondering if I should send something to Yale, or if I should try to have this amended, or if it's not really a big deal?

All of my LORs were directed towards the schools I had my professors send them to, see if you can't get your professor to change it up.

I wouldn't send anything to Yale that says Harvard. Heh. That's just me though.

Sorry to hear about Duke. You still have good schools to hear from. One of those will probably come through for you!!

I am still listed as incomplete at Duke. I have submitted all of my material through LSAC and I know they have my LORs (I can see this much on the status checker). Does anyone know if Duke lists having received the standing letter from my school on the status checker? That is the only thing I can think of to explain why I would not be complete.

I'm also incomplete at Duke and know they have rec'd everything as of today (my last LOR was received today).
