@Happy Sun Do you remember if your friend took any proactive measures while on the WL? I.E. sending in more recs from professors

I think she didn’t send any new LORs; probably it’s because at the end of July all the schools’ results were out and some withdrew their applications to GULC, it opened more spaces to wls. I think if you have any new positive achievements or updates, it’s always good to let the admissions office know. Good luck!

I haven't heard anything. I saw in a thread from 2018, during this last week in July, that some people on the WL were e-mailed that there would not be enough room for them and they were denied. Others did not receive that e-mail and remained on the WL going into August.

Nothing yet. Hopefully we hear soon! They told a friend of mine on the phone a few weeks ago by the end of July.

Just received the transfer waitlist update. The class is currently full, but "these things have a way of changing as the summer goes on." Next update by Aug. 15th, if not sooner.

I can't imagine that many students would forfeit their spot in the upcoming class if they have not already. Thoughts?

Yeah, I think that’s it for the transfer class. I’m assuming GULC admitted no one from the waitlist this year.

I was admitted off the WL last year. I sent a letter of continued interest on 7/16 --> got an email from the admission office on 7/25 said that they cannot guarantee anything but wanted to make sure if I was still interested --> I expressed my interest again and got admitted the next day.

Taken with a MASSIVE shaker of salt, someone in the OCI thread claiming to be a 3L from OJA says this Friday. Which is about a week ahead of that timeline, but it could make some amount of sense. Resume collect ends on Friday and presumably we would be disadvantaged if we can't add journal invitations to our resumes.

Not me personally, but one of my drinking buddies transferred from a T3 with a 3.5X and finished his first year at GULC with a 3.2X. Also made a secondary journal. Double-digit V100 interviews lined up at OCI.

I was told the next deposit deadline is at the end of August, so if there is to be any movement, logically that would be when it might happen.

I found out about a month ago.
So my old school is about to start the semester. Can I just go back to old school and still wait for Georgetown?

Sure but you will likely owe some tuition unless you're able to withdraw before the add/drop date. Classes at GULC start the day after labor day I think so I feel like that would be the last week you'd hear. But I know someone last year who got off of a 1l waitlist a few weeks in to his first semester. He declined the offer though because it was a very similar school to the one he was already attending.

I just got an email from Georgetown that the class is still full... but can wait till 08/26.
Is that worth waiting? Anyone still want to wait?
