A forum for those current students who are or may be transferring from one school to another. Post any questions, advice, or other transfer related comments here.

Anonymous Posting

Anonymous posting is only available to the creator of each thread. The anonymous posting feature is intended to permit the solicitation of anonymous advice regarding the transfer application process, chances of being accepted, etc. Unacceptable uses include: testing the feature, questions which are clearly fake or hypothetical in nature, harassing other users, etc. Posters should also read and understand the announcements posted at the top of the Transfers forum prior to using the anonymous feature.

Failure to follow these rules will get you outed, warned, or banned.

I transferred to NYU so I remember what this process was like. I applied in mid-June and found out around July 10th, but I also know other people in my transfer class found out only a few days before orientation in August.

The way I initially "found out" was the requirements on the status page changed and an unchecked box showed up saying "Tuition Deposit Received." Then a few hours later my status changed to "Decision Letter Sent." I received a phone call from the Office of Admissions the next day officially congratulating me on my acceptance. I received my actual acceptance package about two days after the call.

Think there's any chance of some late afternoon decisions as well? Or are we waiting for tomorrow or Thursday for a possible second wave?

i usually do a bit of work before lunch, then a little more after lunch. hope theyre on my type of schedule

Im thinking maybe Ill get an email with tracking info this afternoon once the package is processed? Also, last year they did some calls so maybe tomorrow for that?
