The following just happened IRL:

Sitting at orientation with a few other TLSers. I remark out loud (was surfing the internet on my phone like the cool dude I am) "Hey! ahnold just got into UW!"

We all burst out into cheers, yelled "YES!!!" and actually high fived, haha.

Even if you don't agree with everyone's celebratory attitude toward this poster, you don't have to rain on it with your tone. If you were genuinely curious who he was you could have asked in a less condescending way.

After many repeated rejections it started to look like he might not get in anywhere at all, but now at the very end of the summer comes the last-minute news that one of the last two schools he was waiting on (UW) accepted him. Cool, thanks. I do not anticipate transferring, although as an entering 1L, who knows. I'm happy where I am (Loyola). Washington is a great law school (as is Wisconsin). Congrats A'nold.

Yeah, they have like a 7% acceptance rate or something like that, haha. Go figure, right? I know people that were rejected with much better stats than myself.

I went to one of Idaho, Wyoming, or Montana. You can easily discover which one if you look through some of my posts from about a year ago.

To those who might be wondering: A'nold is one of the kindest people on TLS. He is a friend to everyone who posts here, and in all my time on this forum I have never seen him conduct himself in any way that was not honorable, thoughtful, and deserving of genuine praise. There are few people who deserve success more than he does. I am very proud to be able to call him my friend, and yes, I changed the title of this thread, though it wasn't as cool as MegaTTTron's tribute.
