On the admitted site they have a link on the side for incoming students which includes transfers and incoming 1L's (but it has like 400 people in it already lol). I don't know if the school makes a group just for transfers or if usually someone makes a transfer specific group themselves. But I'd like to know when there is one out there for us.HipHopAnonymous wrote:Do you know if they have an admitted students website/fb page for transfers? I don't wanna re-activating my fb unless I can actually talk to people who are in the same position as me (no offense to the incoming 1L's but we all know how annoying some of us can be).EncyclopediaOrange wrote:+1. I can't stop looking at housing ads/threads and browsing the admitted students website, despite the fact that I desperately need to learn property in the next two weeks. Praying to the forced curve gods and hoping for biglaw.HipHopAnonymous wrote:Hey everyone--glad to see so many other transfers on here! Is it just me or does everyone have a serious case of the fuck-its after getting their acceptance? We just have to pass our classes, right? Because at this point I'm ready to buy a few beers and celebrate. (only kidding....kind of)
Also, you guys have any idea about housing for next year? I hear it's crazy hard to get on campus housing..anybody know of any neighborhoods close by?
And good luck with studying property! Try not to stress out too much, we'll be doing enough of that in the fall.

When is the deadline for those that got in last week to submit the deposit? Maybe they are waiting for their response.WoodsyAtoll wrote:Not yet.transfertoT1 wrote:has anyone received the deferral e-mail?

Thanks for this info! Is that the deadline so they waive the deposit or is it your only deadline?

I would assume both because no waiver + no deposit = no seat. But that wasn't explicitly in the email.transfertoT1 wrote:EncyclopediaOrange wrote:transfertoT1 wrote:When is the deadline for those that got in last week to submit the deposit? hahaha so they basically gave you just a week to respond? I thought they would say that the May 2nd deadline is only if you want your deposit waived.EncyclopediaOrange wrote:I would assume both because no waiver + no deposit = no seat. I wouldn't waive it though. Just pay the deposit fee because what if you get into a better school (which you prob would with your credentials). Its a life investment....

Haha well thanks for that. I will not be waiving out of the deposits. We'll see how this semester turns out...transfertoT1 wrote:

For the record, official acceptance letter came today in the midwest. It confirmed that either the first deposit or the waiver form is due May 2. Hopefully more acceptances come after that!

I agree. Seems like they are trying to respond to those that have the best credentials first and then go from there. Last year they sent referrals right after the acceptances and all the early decisions got accepted at the same time.

is anyone signing commitment form instead of the paying the deposit? or is everyone going to wait it out until the end of the semester to see where else they get in?

Really? Has a multi-phased EA acceptance ever happened before?transfertoT1 wrote:levofb1907 wrote:just being hopeful here, but maybe they are planning to make more offers after May 2?WoodsyAtoll wrote:What do we think the delay is?WoodsyAtoll wrote:Not yet.transfertoT1 wrote:has anyone received the deferral e-mail?

Nope. Look through last posts. The usual is that they accept all the EA. Then the others would get deferred. This is new.

Would it not seem more likely that the deferral communication is just delayed and not that they are changing their entire admission structure?transfertoT1 wrote:WoodsyAtoll wrote:Really? That could be an option but remember I called in before and they said they were releasing EA decisions early May. You have a valid point maybe I just want to be positive lol

I am sad to say it, but I think those of us that haven't heard are deferred. I really don't see them offering any more until RD.transfertoT1 wrote:Nope. Look through last posts. The usual is that they accept all the EA. Then the others would get deferred. This is new.

I'm gonna ride it out and eat the first deposit at least. I still have (false) hopes about CCN.HipHopAnonymous wrote:is anyone signing commitment form instead of the paying the deposit? or is everyone going to wait it out until the end of the semester to see where else they get in?
