Why do you say that? You think the gap between 7/5 and 7/14 was too long?159times2 wrote:UR 7/5 and 7/14 - the ding is coming.

Eh, I don't think that = ding. People who have been accepted have had a few days between UR2 ----> UR3 or DLS.

Also, if you look at it the other way. You have been looked at several times, and they still don't want to deny you. (I think we are on hold until people's deposits are due)DownWithRBG wrote:Eh, I don't think that = ding. People who have been accepted have had a few days between UR2 ----> UR3 or DLS.

This is definitely my belief as well. If they knew they were going to deny you immediately it would only take one read.Gamecockfan wrote:Also, if you look at it the other way. My "UR" changed 3 times before being admitted, but my application finished fairly late. After seeing people agonize over these UR changes last year, I'm pretty sure they're actually meaningless.

I think my app is lost somewhere. UR2 7/8 and still do not have all the boxes checked.Gamecockfan wrote:Ding Ding Ding.

Are they literally just slowly denying people and not accepting more?

someone might have answered this already, but can you participate in NYU's OCI if you're admitted after the deadline? (which I think is tomorrow?)

They said OCI bidding for transfers was between Aug. 3 and 5.ILL18 wrote:someone might have answered this already, but can you participate in NYU's OCI if you're admitted after the deadline? (which I think is tomorrow?)

Re: NYU Transfer 2015
Is anyone still UR? Curious if NYU just doesn't notify anyone if they are on a waitlist and just keeps them UR.

Re: NYU Transfer 2015
A waitlist this late in the game seems very unlikely. Why would you want to go to a school that admits you in August when OCI opportunities have become non-existent? I think they are going to make, at most, a couple more acceptances over the next week and then ding the rest.st-1 wrote:Is anyone still UR? Re: NYU Transfer 2015
I agree. I just do not get why a school wouldn't ding a applicant as soon as they know they are not going to accept him. NU is basically doing the same thing.bmmccb223 wrote:A waitlist this late in the game seems very unlikely. Re: NYU Transfer 2015
Agreed. I can understand keeping someone UR for an extra week rather than putting them on the WL, but if a person is going to be a ding, why not just ding them as soon as you know? Soooo glad I'm not still waiting for a response from NW; that would be so frustrating.st-1 wrote:I agree.
