6.
After April 1, except under binding early decision plans, every applicant should be free to accept a new offer from a law school even though a scholarship has been accepted, a deposit has been paid, or a commitment has been made to another school. To provide applicants with an uncoerced choice among various law schools, no excessive nonrefundable deposit should be required solely to maintain a place in the class.

Me too! Although my application just went under review yesterday, I am incredibly anxious thinking there is a chance I could hear today.toothbrush wrote:i'm here and waiting.zoomzoom88 wrote:go relax until then. meet you guys back here around 325
Also not sure how my class rank for was sent. They only do ranges and the range I'm in is 3.86-3.75 as top 5%. However, I had a 3.86 so I hope they recognize I'm top in the class...or that the form was sent that way.
Dust in the wind I guess at this point!
Good luck peeps!

I'm not getting my hopes up. I thought I was borderline competitive, but after being in the first round of dings w/ NYU, I'm thinking maybe I was delusional.
For those who don't feel like going back to find stats:
Lower T2
3.78
School doesn't rank, but on a pretty strict 3.0 curve. Likely around 5%-ish.

I just called them about the status checker saying they had not received my dean certs or transcripts... she opens up my file and says "we have all your files, we just don't update the status checker until we start reviewing your file for a decision."
aka once you go complete you should expect a decision soon?

Don't know. I went complete on Tuesday. Got accepted Thursday. But other people have been complete a while, and they have even better stats than I.LawLschool101 wrote:I just called them about the status checker saying they had not received my dean certs or transcripts... she opens up my file and says "we have all your files, we just don't update the status checker until we start reviewing your file for a decision."

Re: Columbia Transfer Waiting Thread 2014
Hard to say. How many of us are there here that volunteer info? A dozen or so? Obviously there are lurkers, but we have no idea how many or whether they had movement. Columbia claims to get about 400 transfer applications per year. So the fact that no one ITT had movement today may mean that it was a small batch, but it's not conclusive.Just wrote:Nobody on TSL got in today? Indication that today is a small bunch?

Longtime lurker that got in today via email around 1:00pm. I got an e-mail that my application went complete last night at around 8pm. Low T1, Top 11%. Hope this info helps anyone still waiting…keep the faith!
