Another wave. 9 posted, at least two are tentative about accepting, and HLS is looking for 30-40.

Got in today also via phone call. I really didn't expect it. Top 15% at BC/BU. I have somewhat of an interesting and non-traditional life story with a ton of work experience. I have to assume that helped, because I thought my ranking was an auto-ding.

Congratulations to all the new admits - like my colleague said earlier, do join the Facebook group. If you can't find it, PM her. Also, dagnygalt while I approve of your taste in books, your choice of couple is questionable - Francisco all the way.

Congrats to all the admits!! And to those who have not yet heard and are telling themselves the "I'm not good enough story" - fear not! I got the call yesterday and, until that moment (and, actually, still in this very moment) considered myself hiiiighly unlikely, numerically: Top 1% but at the bottom of the T2 barrel. I was fortunate to have a job that immersed me in court advocacy for five years before law school, and I think that sort of experience and my commitment to doing public interest were the boosts I needed, but were in no way guarantees. All of this is to say that - for those who are doubting themselves based on conventions of the likeliest candidate - you might surprise yourself. And if you do, I look forward to seeing you in Cambridge next fall! Sending you all lucky sparkledust! [Yes, that is the official legal term.]

I know it's so hard not to, but try not to worry! They definitely don't inform all the admits at once. They like to spread it out to torture people.

And for those who are in and can't find the fbook group, please pm me your email address and Ill invite you that way.

one thing i was thinking about was how many acceptances they did give. it seemed like a lot. i'd guess 15-20. dont they say tls is like 10-20% representative? obviously not in this case, but still seemed like a lot of acceptances.

I'm weak and called them this morning. They said probably no decisions today, but would be sending out more acceptances "within the next couple days." So there is still some hope.

I counted 16 reported acceptances on TLS. So long as we haven't been officially dinged, there's still hope, but obviously, our chances of getting accepted are pretty poor at this point.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
