That's a good idea. I hate you.

Also, I was the second person to post on this thread originally. So I'm going to compile a "GULC EA Transfer Cheat Sheet" for folks to look at during the 2015 cycle. If you can post here or pm me your information in a matter similar as below, then that would be great. Let's do a community service for next year's hopefuls so they don't have to scour through pages of our mindless speculation. Lulz

Something like this:

CounselorNebby
Rank: Top 1% (4.0/4.0 GPA)
School: T2 (80-89)
Application submitted: 2/17/2014
Application complete: 2/20/2014
Address Update (“Ave” changed to “Avenue;” “Apt” changed to “Apartment”): 4/2/2014
Application complete (first status update): 4/4/2014

I think it says every journal reserves a spot.

Yes. They have spots reserved on every journal for transfers. GULC invests in transfer students in a degree greater than others. All classes in the fall have a certain number of spots reserved for transfers as well. That's partially why EA is nice, you can almost always get into a class you want. (I assume EA is allowed to enroll prior to regular xfer admitted folks)

Also, Laxstar1, someone who xferred EA to GULC last year was top 15% at T1.

It sucks b.c we all want to assume we have been blessed. BUTTT, for all we know UCC is in, or UCC is deferred and the rest of us are accepted or denied.

Hopefully this is good news for all of us.

I think I read somewhere in this thread that GULC transferred 100 students on 600 applications last year. Assuming they offer more acceptances than they had students matriculate, it is not out of the realm of possibility that we could all be in good shape.

Good luck everyone.

I really hope so too. Everybody seems to have promising numbers. maybe a few outliers. jtype was the one real outlier but he/she has WE and patent.

So I am the only person not to have an update? How did everyone get invited to the party without me? I just checked to make sure I sent the right document as my personal statement lol

yeah, idk what you should do, since calling them and saying "EVERYONE ON TLS GOT AN UPDATE" is kinda weird. I guess you could be subtle and email them to ask if you got all the right files in. It would be shitty if that was the only reason you didn't get in.

also, you don't know if this is a good party or a bad party... could be filled with deferred ugly middle-aged unbathed men and women. while you're about to be surprise-partied by everybody you've masturba... I mean wrote a poem about LOL

Status Update 4/4, top 15% at T1 (45-50).

If ucc is the only one without an update, and he has killer stats,

this might not be a good party...

I think UCC goes to GW -- So maybe GW and GULC have a gentlemen's agreement not to poach students? Or maybe GULC gets a massive amount of GW transfer apps and only accepts a certain number? Only rational speculation I can surmise. Very strange.

the numbers just keep rolling in and it just looks better and better. except I still have no idea why UCC had a glitch in the matrix. maybe they hate ucc 2-207 as much as all other law school students do... you should change your ID to something like, 100%employmentguaranteed

Also, isn't the next step for our requirements list to disappear?

I mean it seems like was a universal update- and something was wrong with mine. Am I the only one thinking this?

My stats might tip the scales in favor of today's update being bad news:
Top 10%, TTT
Prior military and then GS work but significant gap for kid raising

Tossed in an EA app just in case, but historically I need to be at least top 5% for admit.
On a positive note, I applied full or part time and my status in that regard still says "both" so maybe that's a good indicator for some of you!

that's really interesting. not to rain on your hopes but probably a good sign for the ones that got theirs changed. that might be a pattern they're still following.
for all other fulltime applicants, I guess we'll find out soon enough...
