Re: Stanford Transfer 2016
It takes a while for the system to update (seems like a week+) from the time that they receive all of your application materials to the time they finally show submitted for review/complete. I submitted some stuff last week and they only just updated my status online today.

Thanks! It looks like my application is 6 days ahead of yours, guys, for whatever weird reason. I will keep you updated.Joscellin wrote:I am, yeah. Mine said incomplete (despite all boxes being checked) until the submitted for review update yesterday.extra.hard wrote:Applied 6/14

Re: Stanford Transfer 2016
so... dumb question: Law Review write-on period has passed right?
ETA: don't sweat the complete stuff. It takes them about a week from the time they receive your outstanding documents for the status checker to update (if my experience is any indication).

This is my #1/dream school -- SLS is perfect for my career goals. Let's see if the fortunate few receive phone calls any earlier this year.

Got a mini heart attack when you bumped the thread. I thought calls were going out. Calls should be going out next week judging by previous years. Granted, they are Stanford and can do whatever they want.

Nothing yet. Assume they'll be out before next Thursday (the H deadline to accept).

Re: Stanford Transfer 2016
Nope! They will open up a transfer window for write-on after they release acceptances. It has two separate parts: the writing component and the editing component. Writing is a 4 day window and Editing is 8 days (but they can be completed in less time, apparently). Grace Zhou is the one I communicated with, and she was incredibly helpful. I have heard from other transfers that it is very difficult to write-on, because they only save about 3 spots for transfers, however, they also have a number of other journals that are viable options.throwaway2018 wrote:so... dumb question: Law Review write-on period has passed right?

For the record:
Submitted: 6/15
Complete: 6/28
Good luck all!

Re: Stanford Transfer 2016
This is correct. I called the Admissions office this morning and asked if they would be sending out decisions before Harvard's deadlines on Thursday. She responded, yes, they "hoped to finalize decisions this week," but didn't state which day they would start sending them out.Joscellin wrote:Nothing yet. He mentioned that "Stanford decisions are going out" but never followed up,
I don't think anyone else has posted any news.

Re: Stanford Transfer 2016
I emailed Stanford yesterday telling them I have a deposit deadline due by the 13th. This is what they said:
"Thank you for your email. We have started making decisions this week. You should hear something very soon."
So they must have sent out at least some admissions...

Naw, we only have one confirmed offer of admission, and the admission's department has since stated that more will be going out.throwaway2018 wrote:Anybody else suspect that no more offers are going out?

Who has been admitted so far? I don't see anyone confirming on this thread.

Re: Stanford Transfer 2016
There is one confirmed admit. I'm tired of waiting though lol I'm ready to stay here I just need rejection letters before I sign a lease and book interview program flights (can't do those if I xfer). Harvard also needs to pick up its feet.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
