'Some schools' also grade along a gradiant, with 3.76-3.94 being A's and 4.0-4.3 being A+, etc. This allows for some fairly wide differences between people who have "A' averages.dabigchina wrote: how do you have a 3.99 if your lowest grade is an A? wouldn't that put you in 4.0+ range?

I think I got auto-dinged for not being number 1 in my class.

Anyone know if # of LOR submitted matters? I have letters from 2 law profs., but see that HLS accepts up to 3. So I could include a letter that I used to apply for 1L, but am unsure if it would make a difference / be worthwhile.

Not a big deal for most schools, but if you're worried, just call them up and let them know it's on the way.specterdraperaxe wrote:Anyone talk to admissions office about potentially late certification letters? I'm worried I won't make it in time.

Anyone have any links to more stats? I can't seem to find much. Would like to see if any T2-ers have been accepted in the last few years.

T2, Top 5% of the minimum stats for a shot at HLS. I was T2, Top 1% and was rejected.River1113 wrote:Anyone have any links to more stats? I can't seem to find much. Would like to see if any T2-ers have been accepted in the last few years.

Do you also happen to know when/how we receive confirmation that our certification forms arrived? The "Requirements List" on my status page is currently blank, and the email linking to the status page said they cannot respond to status inquiries via phone or email. I'd just like to make sure my materials were received, ideally before the June 15 deadline.

Re: 2016 Harvard Law School transfer thread
Hey guys I have a question regarding Status Checker/documents submitted.
I submitted my application right before the deadline on June 15th. My status checker is completely blank right now and I have no idea what's going on.
My Official Transcript did not come out until THIS WEEK, so I'm trying to get it sent to admissions as soon as possible. In the interim, my school's registrar was able to send an unofficial transcript to the admissions office, will that be enough for them to consider my application?
I did email the admission office asking about submitting a LOR after the June 15 deadline and this is what they said: "Thank you for your email. We continue to accept materials for a very short time period after the June 15th deadline. However, as the transfer process moves extremely quickly, we cannot guarantee will be able to review applications completed after the deadline. "
Ultimately I was able to assign 2 LORs to my LSAC app, so that's not a problem anymore. However, I'm worried the fact that I still don't have an official transcript sent to them as of right now is going to hurt me. Does anyone know if they'll still review my application even though I haven't sent in ALL of the documents by June 15? It seems really unfair that because my school doesn't release official transcripts until after June 15th, that I won't get a chance to be considered

No worries, from their website:dracula wrote:Hey guys

Although we may be able to reach a tentative decision to admit on the basis of unofficial grades, we are not able to offer admission to any applicant without first receiving an official transcript.

Yep mine says "Application Ready for Review" now! I submitted on June 15th and I think my official transcript just arrived today so that's what finally checked everything off. My Requirements List is still blank tho!CheddarArachnid wrote:Anyone moved from "App ready for review"?

Re: 2016 Harvard Law School transfer thread
Anyone have any idea when acceptances (or rejections) started to come last year? Mid-July is my guess but wondering if anyone has something more concrete than that.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
