UCLA on your resume isn't going to land you biglaw in NYC. But then again, neither is top 15-20% at Cardozo or Brooklyn. I would still stay though OP, you mentioned you want to work in NYC and you have a 80% scholarship. That's a lot of money you'd be leaving behind for a bump in the rankings that'll probably end up being negligible considering where you want to practice.

I know transfers at my non-NYC T14 who came from NYC TTs and were completely shut out of NYC big law. I guess there's some skepticism about why someone at the top of his class who is already in NYC would leave? Anecdotal, but just putting it out there for you to think about.
