You'll get an interview soon. Status checkers don't even have a decision date yet.Anonymous User wrote:Hey guys, congrats on getting the interviews, but hopefully you guys can help me with something:
I thought I was definitely competitive for NW, I have had two interviews with T6 schools, have a SA, am about top 25% at a T-20 school, but submitted about two weeks ago and never got an interview invite.
Anybody have any insight? Is there anything I can do?

Re: Northwestern Transfer
Interviewed request 6/12, interviewed 6/16, received status Checker 6/16, app complete 6/16, but at the top of the status checker page it says "Your application is now complete and is being reviewed by the Admissions Committee" does that mean I'm still just in the complete pile or in the in review pile? Northwestern is my number one and would love to hear back before another school forces me to put down a grand seat deposit. Any thought?

It's number 1 for the lot of us. I don't think NU starts making decisions until first and second week of July so it's probably best to remain patient.

Oh bummer- I sent in my app on Thursday and received the status tracker this morning. Did anyone else get an interview request after they received a status tracker?

Re: Northwestern Transfer
I did. Interviewed today, got status checker a week or so ago and interview request 2 days after I got the status checker. In my interview she made it seem as if they won't release any decisions until their deadline passes so idk how much of a formality the interview was. However, I will say this interview was about half as long as mine with UCLA.

Did any of you receive an interview request before your application went complete? I got the status checker today but it says my application is incomplete but all of the documents are on their way to the school

I may have missed it in an earlier post. But can anyone shed some light on the interview? Just got my request today. Hoping this is a good sign.

Re: Northwestern Transfer
hey all, i applied to transfer to NU last year and thought I would provide some insight.
applied last year, was top 25% at a T1, interview shortly after July 4th in person, literally got in the next day. I think if you get an interview you are in a good spot.
Happy to answer any questions, I ended up transferring to UCLA because I wanted to stay in Cali.
good luck!

How long after status checker did your apps go complete? Still showing incomplete here. Confirmed w/ 1L School that certification letter was sent both via email and usps.

My application wasn't complete until today because my school would not send in the requirements until last minute. Obviously, I have not received an invitation to interview yet. Does anyone have any idea what my chances are?

My transcript is running late. Thankfully, I will still be considered, just at a later timeline

Seems like a lock. Apply to a higher ranked school, ya jerk >:(

Really? I never thought it was a lock, especially with my application getting in so late. Thanks for the input though.

Re: Northwestern Transfer
I wish I could believe we would hear next week but I doubt it.
Last year the dates were:
June 30
July 2
July 9
July 10
July 23
I just have a feeling they're later this year; and they will probably be closed on Friday

Re: Northwestern Transfer
Any one have input on how to play our 1L OCI? Obviously can't bank on getting in at NW and blow off our own OCI. Should we just go 1L school OCI as if we weren't gonna transfer? If so, what should we do if we end up getting in at NW? Not trying to be shady and double dip, but can't risk missing out on 1L school OCI if not accepted at NW.

Re: Northwestern Transfer
If you haven't been accepted and your home-school has begun the OCI process, I think you NEED to participate in it. As you said, you can't bank on getting in. It's not shady if you aren't certainly attending, whereas it would be if you were trying to participate in both. But there is no harm in or anything unethical about being prepared for both.RaceJudicata wrote:Any one have input on how to play our 1L OCI?
