No. The only worry is that you'll lose $2000 in deposits to GULC because you're likely to be accepted at CCNHgtownhoping wrote:So someone in the top 5% at a T1 might have something to worry about?CounselorNebby wrote:I used to not think so, but judging by the fact that GULC clearly uses transfers to make up for budget shortfalls then then it very well may be.gtownhoping wrote:Is yield protection a thing for transfer admissions?

T2 3.807 Here
Do I need to send a transcript directly to GULC, or will it go through LSAC the same way as with the 1L apps? The application requirements page didn't specify.

Mine was the same way for a few days and just showed up on the checklist yesterday. Now I'm just waiting on my certification form to clear.Anonymous User wrote:My professor's name is listed and it's signed, but then in the checklist my LOR isn't checked off... idgiestates wrote:Maybe. Same, I wonder how long it takes LSAC to process it, since I figure the one sent from my UG should have gotten to them this week.sandwhich wrote:Decided I'm going to apply. Waiting on LSAC to get my final UG transcript.

Hopefully not too long. I don't think they should be as swamped as they are in the fall. Supposedly max is supposed to be 2 weeks.Anonymous User wrote:Same, I wonder how long it takes LSAC to process it, since I figure the one sent from my UG should have gotten to them this week.sandwhich wrote:Decided I'm going to apply. Checking in! T50 with a little over a 4.0. My school doesn't rank but I think that puts me in the top 5-10%. Good luck everyone!

Yeah, should be a lock from what I've read. You should aim higher--as in NYU is probably a very good shot too.CounselorNebby wrote:Good chance.gwesia wrote:hey all
applied to GULC from GW
gpa: 3.73, likely 10%.
153 LSAT 3.9 UGPA. Chances for EA?
FWIW I was GW top 15% at 3.65.
Check out the table of median transfer GPAs on The Legal Whiteboard (not that GPA is overwhelmingly useful though...):

Anyone else applying as a safety net? It's an expensive one but I could really use a 'slight' relief of the pressure from this semester's finals.

Re: GULC EA
Yea. I'm at a T20 so GULC isn't much of a step up. For me personally though it wouldn't be horrible b/c I could live at home and save the COL.sandwhich wrote:Anyone else applying as a safety net? I did last year and the relief was awesome. That much easier to kill finals when you have admission in hand.sandwhich wrote:Anyone else applying as a safety net? It's an expensive one but I could really use a 'slight' relief of the pressure from this semester's finals.

Went "complete" this morning -- although I believe I am still EA, all of my materials should have arrived prior to the deadline.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
