nah, not really though. most people don't understand or acknowledge much difference between #3 and #5 on the us news survey and those that do view it as at most a minor distinction, not a "totally different" degree. this sounds more in a personal rationalization you've made about your choices (which I completely respect, but not for the reasons you've put forth), for better or worse.

And let's get real for a moment--someone who attends YHS will have plenty of opportunities post-graduation to pay off that debt relatively quickly.

no one is debating this. the point is someone who is top 1% at any T14 will have those same or better opportunities but can put their money towards something infinitely more meaningful than servicing federal debt obligations
