Hey, K-JD here. As I mentioned, my rank dropped a lot. Otherwise, I never would have stood a chance. Applied early to all programs.TheNextAmendment wrote:Is anyone else surprised by this? Top 50% and into T20? OP- Congrats on the acceptances. Would you mind sharing work experience or etc? For the record- in your situation I would absolutely transfer. Congrats again.

Did you apply EA? Aka get the acceptances before spring grades came in? How much of a drop? Just curious. PM if want to keep private. Additionally I'm a rising 2L at GW so I can help answer questions.Anonymous User wrote:Hey, K-JD here. As I mentioned, my rank dropped a lot. Otherwise, I never would have stood a chance. I honestly think this is one big troll. Let's say OP WAS accepted in EA and was in top 15% . If they're now in the top 50% then they would have finished at least 10 percentiles BELOW median in the spring. How do you do so poorly after doing well?

Dropped .03 (acceptances before grades). Rank cutoffs killed me.TheNextAmendment wrote: Did you apply EA? Aka get the acceptances before spring grades came in? How much of a drop? Just curious. PM if want to keep private. Additionally I'm a rising 2L at GW so I can help answer questions.
Just ran the numbers again. Looks like it'd be an extra 30K in loans for GW/GULC.

As someone transferring out of WUSTL because of they're tenuous relationship to either coast, I wouldn't suggest moving farther away from your target market just because of "T20" status.

Thanks, that's really helpful. I was struggling to justify moving to MO for two years. My debt would be lower, but I would have a harder time getting a job.MagicMike80 wrote:As someone transferring out of WUSTL because of they're tenuous relationship to either coast, I wouldn't suggest moving farther away from your target market just because of "T20" status.

They were clearly using top 50% broadly - later they said they went from top 25% to just outside top 1/3.CounselorNebby wrote:I honestly think this is one big troll. I'll try to clarify. My school cuts off at 25, 33, 50%. I was technically top 33% first semester (just missed top 25%). Second semester I was technically top 50% (just missed top 33%). I was never top 25%.A.
