my status checker updated that they received certain forms, but not others. all should be in, though. it's frustrating knowing that last year people were admitted without ever going "complete".

That was after the original "we received your materials"? How much time came between when you THOUGHT they received all your materials and you should be complete vs. the email?

a week.. NYU was much faster at updating the status checker.

Yeah, I had the same problem. They are waiting for something from my UG, I guess, though they should have received it by now. Considering they compete so heavily with NYU for transfers (I imagine), you would think they would try to keep pace with NYU's process....

In regard to CLS: No, it hasn't gone complete. In regard to NYU: Still says Application being processed, though I know they have everything. (It was all sent last Monday)

I don't really pay the CLS status checker a whole lot of attention due to the fact that people routinely get admitted even though their checker never officially goes complete.

The Dean’s Appraisal/Certification form or an equivalent certification of good standing must be submitted from the law school where you are currently enrolled in a degree program, from any college or university at which you have already earned a degree, and from any college or university where you were matriculated toward a degree (regardless of whether a degree was received).

When I applied two years ago, the status checker was not updated with any regularity. I sent in my UG certification and it took about 3 weeks for the app to go complete in the status checker. I called Columbia in the interim and they told me to just wait it out and that they would process it ASAP. 2 days after I went complete, I was accepted. So I suspect it was complete for a long time before that and they were just slow to update their checker.

Unless they've changed their practices, I wouldn't rely too much on the status checker. Try and be patient. The decision will come when it comes. I know this is easy to say from the other side

last year the first batch of decisions went on July 10 -- so that can be used as a benchmark for this cycle. Beyond that it became more spotty. Once deposit deadlines pass a new batch of decisions are released.

They are missing my grades and certificate form. I know both have been sent and may just resend them tomorrow just to be safe.

Yeah, their late emailing is so weird. Everyone would have left the office a couple of hours before that. I wonder why they have it set up to email so late.
