Would it be a bad idea to ask for an expedited review if we have three deadlines on Friday?

Re: Stanford Transfer Thread 2014
you're not gonna get dinged for asking and i think you've got a compelling reason for asking. you've still got an hour to call before close of business PST.George Washington wrote:Would it be a bad idea to ask for an expedited review if we have three deadlines on Friday?

let's do the numbers:bethanyrose09 wrote:How big is SLS's transfer class?
2013: 15 http://www.lsac.org/docs/default-source ... ba4704.pdf
2012: 15 http://www.lsac.org/docs/default-source ... ba4704.pdf
2011: 15 http://www.lsac.org/docs/default-source ... ba4704.pdf
2010: 16 http://www.lsac.org/docs/default-source ... ba4704.pdf
2009: 12 http://www.lsac.org/docs/default-source ... ba4704.pdf
2008: 12 http://www.lsac.org/docs/default-source ... ba4704.pdf
so....15 seems like a safe guess for this year.

although the numbers reported to LSAC are different from those on the SLS website, so it's not totally clear. Their website says 10. https://www.law.stanford.edu/facts/enro ... tion-rates

Re: Stanford Transfer Thread 2014
Called and asked if there is any update/estimation as to when decisions will be released and it is tentatively in mid-July (I'm trying to weigh and balance other decisions that must be made by today and within the next week). The lady on the phone was super sweet but basically said there's really no way of knowing when they will release acceptances. She said to call back in on Monday or Tuesday. *Much praying happening in the next week*

I've heard they do them all in one day. With only 10 or so, it can't take THAT long...txig wrote:Do we think they are making all calls today?

Fair. I understand the skepticism, but look at the Harvard thread from Monday and people said the exact same thing . . . Not sure what else I can say.txig wrote:I felt the same hahaha but didn't want to say anything...especially considering T14 top3% is a shoe in anywhere.pluto111 wrote:sort of skeptical that this admission call is real/actually happened.....

Yeah I mean I'm not trying to come at you, but there was a note that admissions said call back Monday or Tuesday or next week, and this was your first post.ccm2123 wrote:Fair. Haha. I hope so, txig. Maybe Stanford is releasing decisions on a piecemeal basis this year? Not sure how to explain this.txig wrote:Yeah I mean I'm not trying to come at you, but there was a note that admissions said call back Monday or Tuesday or next week, and this was your first post.
