Yes! I applied binding.

Do they allow transfers to participate in OCI? And also my current roommate is a transfer and she says that the school I'm at now was really horrible about integrating transfers into the school process and basically just let them figure everything out on their own. Is that the case at USC?

Welcome to the Trojan family!

Transfers are definitely allowed to participate in OCI, and the transfers who participated did very well this year. I was also a binding, early decision candidate, and my recommendation is that around mid-June, contact career services to start talking about OCI. Being an early admit is great because you can bid for OCI at the same time as the rising 1Ls. I asked career services for a list of firms that hired transfers and they were able to provide an (incomplete but still helpful) list. You may also have access to your old school's symplicity for awhile -- I suggest making a list of the firms that are interviewing at your old school and applying to them at USC's OCI.

As for transfer integration -- honestly, it wasn't super great this year. We had a one day orientation and then classes started two days later. However, I think a lot of us complained, so next year there will be 2 transfer peer mentors that will be responsible for the new transfer class. They will coordinate events for the transfer students and be there to answer questions that the transfers have. I got lucky and met a 3L transfer at OCI who was very helpful in answering my questions throughout the school year. Hopefully the transfer mentor program will help remedy some of the integration problems! The other best thing you can do is just attend social events, join a club, or hopefully moot court/a journal, and make new friends.

My app was complete a looong time ago, but just switched to 1st read on May 1.
No movement after that and then I got the email.
