Current school connections? I mean, besides my friends I dont really have any.

I guess I may be mistaken but I would imagine having that Harvard name on your resume could help you in the future for lateraling (even if only slightly)

Chances are I will stay, but I need to at least look at my options for my SO
I imagine you will have at least have a few professors that at least recognize you enough to write you a recommendation or go to bat for you if needed. In my experience, it doesn't really take a close relationship with a prof for them to help you out but it does take at least a passing recognition.

Maybe it would help in some miniscule way but there are probably a half dozen factors that will be in front of it. I honestly don't get transferring within the top 10 or so schools unless its some direct personal reason. Yale I get, people make that commute. Boston to NYC isn't really all that close.

Also... Come back when you have 2nd semester grades

i would apply to NYU and Columbia, and maybe Yale for fun, and see what happens. if you decide not to transfer, you can always try to get some $$ out of your current school.

Yeah, I will see what happens. Thanks Duck.

AllTheLawz is right, I need to see next semester grades first. Who knows, I could be kicked to median after this semester (I am sure worse has happened).

I will probably talk to 2 professors for LORs and then wait to see how my grades turn out and go from there.
