I imagine you will have at least have a few professors that at least recognize you enough to write you a recommendation or go to bat for you if needed. In my experience, it doesn't really take a close relationship with a prof for them to help you out but it does take at least a passing recognition.BigLawer wrote:Current school connections? I guess I may be mistaken but I would imagine having that Harvard name on your resume could help you in the future for lateraling (even if only slightly)

Maybe it would help in some miniscule way but there are probably a half dozen factors that will be in front of it. I honestly don't get transferring within the top 10 or so schools unless its some direct personal reason. Yale I get, people make that commute. Boston to NYC isn't really all that close.
