If I attend, I'm going to try and live as cheaply as possible. I saw some dorm rooms in gropius for 697. Anyone know what the demand is like for the cheap rooms?

Re: Harvard Transfer Class 2014 New Admits!
Is anyone else having trouble setting up their PIN that goes along with the Harvard ID number? Every time I follow the directions to get a PIN number it only gives me the option to pick up a temporary pin in person at their office. From reading the directions it looks as if there should be an option to have a PIN emailed to you...
It's super annoying b/c you need the PIN in order to start doing a lot of the finaid stuff. Anyone have any insights?

I think you have to go to "First Time User" which is where I am stuck (on the My HLS Financial Financial Aid page)
https://myfaid.law.harvard.edu/NetPartn ... gHome.aspx
"We are unable to activate your account. Please contact your financial aid office and refer to Code IA."
^ This is the error I am getting.

Hmm, well that's a page I hadn't been to yet, but I get the same error as you. I just got that HUID number today, so maybe it takes a day or so to get into the system or something? Will try again tomorrow.ksense wrote:I think you have to go to "First Time User" which is where I am stuck (on the My HLS Financial Financial Aid page)

Strike that, I lied. I'm really impatient and sent their PIN Help Desk an email. I'll let you guys know what they say.>insert witty name< wrote:Hmm, well that's a page I hadn't been to yet, but I get the same error as you. Update: only first wave of students can register on HLS financial services at this moment. Second wave should be able to do it today or tomorrow. (watch for an e-mail)

Also planning to attend. Not sure what to do about housing. Don't mind spending some money on a place near Central or Harvard Square. If anyone's looking for a roommate, I'm a gay male, very chill.
Look forward to meeting y'all!

Has anyone received the packet? Is it speed delivery or just snail mail?

Is that USPS or UPS? I ask because I'm having all of my mail forwarded. I'm pretty worried it's not going to get to me in time.>insert witty name< wrote:I got it yesterday, it's just regular snail mail.

Re: Harvard Transfer Class 2014 New Admits!
I still only have the option to pick up my PIN in person. This is preventing me from logging into the financial aid system. Is anyone else having this problem. Also, I haven't received the admit package (I got in on Tuesday). When is the deposit deadline?

Re: Harvard Transfer Class 2014 New Admits!
OK yeah serious question what all do we need to have sent to them by the 18th. I'm out of the country, and my mom likely won't get my forwarded stuff by then anyway. Kinda freaking out.
And for all of the rest of you folks who have yet to get the package, what the heck? Do they expect us to overnight it to get there by the 18th??

Re: Harvard Transfer Class 2014 New Admits!
Anyone have any idea how we can get a list of employers interviewing during EIP? We can't log in yet to the EIP site for JD Students, but I thought I'd do some work trying to get myself organized if I end up attending.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
