Re: NYU Transfers
Question about the transfer application:
For the "college questionnaire" and "law school certificate" do you actually have to print out these papers, sign them yourself and give them to your law school's office?
My law school just sent a Dean's Certificate/Letter of Good Standing to NYU, but it wasn't their form -- it was the form my law school uses. Does anyone know whether that is acceptable, or am I going to have to print out THEIR specific paper, sign it myself and fax it (I'm not working in the same city as my law school) to my law school for them to do all of this over again?
Thanks

Re: NYU Transfers
That's the kind of question the admissions office can answer for you. It shouldn't matter unless their form asks for something specific that the one you sent doesn't provide.
I still have "Application being processed" on their website.

Not yet UR, but have all the boxes checked off as of today. Did anyone else have this weird limbo period off app being processed with all the boxes checked off?

Several boxes are unchecked that shouldn't be. Should I contact them or give it a few days?

If you call they will let u know if they have it, but they wont update the status checker until they get around to it. If you want peace of mind, it doesnt hurt to callmileslibertatis wrote:Several boxes are unchecked that shouldn't be. Should I contact them or give it a few days?

How did it take for your transcript to process? My school mailed it two weeks ago and the box is still not checked in the Status Checker. Other than that my app is complete.

Mine just processed today, but I also emailed them yesterday about it.
My college questionnaire still hasn't processed and it was sent on May 17th.

about 2 weeks as well. my school's policy is 10 business days before it tries to resend it. the transcript box was checked before the deadline for resending for me. i called the admissions office after about a week and a half to ask, and at that time they said they hadn't received it. then 2 days later the box was checked off.jbiresq wrote:How did it take for your transcript to process? Re: NYU Transfers
I called them last Friday and they told me that they have a lot of apps and take a long time to process these things. Which makes sense, given it took them a month to give me access to the status checker. Still annoying, though.luckyjd wrote:about 2 weeks as well. my school's policy is 10 business days before it tries to resend it. the transcript box was checked before the deadline for resending for me. i called the admissions office after about a week and a half to ask, and at that time they said they hadn't received it. then 2 days later the box was checked off.jbiresq wrote:How did it take for your transcript to process? Re: NYU Transfers
NYU does take a few weeks to process docs. That being said, its a great school and worth the wait. They dont release decisions for another two weeks or more, so I wouldn't worry that much.jbiresq wrote:I called them last Friday and they told me that they have a lot of apps and take a long time to process these things. I've been in the Processing phase for a while now, as well. Both law school transcript and UG transcript boxes unchecked? Do we have to send these documents directly from LS/UGs or do they use the CAS copy that LSAC sends?

Both my undergrad and my law school have free online transcript request deals, so I sent them to LSAC and to the schools directly. Scorched earth.

I sent everything to NYU (though everything else had already been sent to LSAC for other applications,) using the forms in the LSAC app.mileslibertatis wrote:Both my undergrad and my law school have free online transcript request deals, so I sent them to LSAC and to the schools directly. can we get a response to this?
I just noticed on my status checker that "undergrad transcript" is unchecked, but I thought this was included in the CAS report??? I know for a fact that I sent my final UG transcript to LSAC after I graduated college, so...shouldn't the CAS report include it, or am I going to have to contact my slow-acting UG?
Thanks

Re: NYU Transfers
I believe you need to get it sent directly from the schools. They have those forms in the application that you need to use.PrayingforHYS wrote:+1InnocuousDiatribe wrote:I've been in the Processing phase for a while now, as well.
