Re: Notre Dame Transfer?
They ask very standard questions like why do you want to transfer. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Re: Notre Dame Transfer?
Turn around time from file complete to decision is about 48 hours. So if you did not request an interview, you should have a decision fairly soon (assuming your file is complete).

I don't think my stat is a no brainer acceptance, but I would prefer to withhold it for now. Though I am from Indiana, so maybe that helped.mike.alexander23 wrote: how did they notify you
They emailed me after I first noticed it on the status check. Snail mail came a few days after the email.

Re: Notre Dame Transfer?
Application is almost complete for ND, so I am just checking in. I did my interview about three weeks ago, and now I am just waiting on my final transcripts.

I am at a Tier 1, in the top 35% of my class. Not the best numbers by any stretch. I really just wanted to get out of the city where my law school is located. (Maybe that gives it away) I applied to WUSTL, UCLA and ND. I really love ND's campus...and I'm a Catholic boy.

You're most likely in at both WUSTL and ND, I can't speak to UCLA since I did not apply there.h2oplyer7 wrote:I am at a Tier 1, in the top 35% of my class. Not the best numbers by any stretch. WUSTL vs. ND is a hard choice I am facing right now.

Depends on what you're looking for...South Bend has its definite pros and cons... i had a couple of friends go there undergrad and i've been to visit as well, but I think the kicker for me would be the larger alumni and network base for ND. WUSTL certainly has a respectable law base, but I think the ND brand might stand out more on a national level IMOkyle010723 wrote:You're most likely in at both WUSTL and ND, I can't speak to UCLA since I did not apply there.h2oplyer7 wrote:I am at a Tier 1, in the top 35% of my class. That, and being from Indiana, I'm biased toward ND as well, though WUSTL does have a very reputable law school too.. Decisions decisions.mike.alexander23 wrote:Depends on what you're looking for...South Bend has its definite pros and cons... i had a couple of friends go there undergrad and i've been to visit as well, but I think the kicker for me would be the larger alumni and network base for ND. Re: Notre Dame Transfer?
Agreed! ND has the name recognition, and I feel like I meet people all the time from Notre Dame Law, even in California. It is a hard decision. For me, it will come down to finances.mike.alexander23 wrote:Depends on what you're looking for...South Bend has its definite pros and cons... i had a couple of friends go there undergrad and i've been to visit as well, but I think the kicker for me would be the larger alumni and network base for ND. good problems to have though. good luck. now does anyone know how many transfer ND usually takes?kyle010723 wrote:That, and being from Indiana, I'm biased toward ND as well, though WUSTL does have a very reputable law school too.. Re: Notre Dame Transfer?
If you look at school data on LSAC, it has the transfer in amount from last year I think. I'm actually at Notre Dame right now looking at apartments. I think I am leaning ND more and more.mike.alexander23 wrote:good problems to have though. good luck. now does anyone know how many transfer ND usually takes?
Re: California, of course UCLA will be your best bet, but ND has a strong west coast presence too if UCLA doesn't work out.

I'm also looking at ND versus WUSTL. But I haven't heard back from ND yet. I really liked both campuses.
