Re: WUSTL EA transfer thread
Just wondering...I went to Mizzou
Anyone know around how many they will accept into the EA decision?
Top 12% from T3 here. I feel real good about letters of rec and good about PS. Crossing fingers.
I feel that those from SLU have a slight advantage over other T3's...(I am not at SLU)--I have just heard they take quite a few SLU students each year.

Re: WUSTL EA transfer thread
There's typically regional advantages with respect to transferring at most top schools (e.g. you have a better shot at berkeley from a t3 in california versus a t3 in Idaho, even with slightly better grades in Idaho)bigmnstyle wrote:I feel that those from SLU have a slight advantage over other T3's...(I am not at SLU)--I have just heard they take quite a few SLU students each year.
EDIT- Did not mean to call WUSTL a top school. It's clearly a rancid TTT (see my last post re: their adcomm

Re: WUSTL EA transfer thread
I'm not sure when you actually applied. I applied in February. I didn't turn complete even though I sent everything to them. I finally checked with admissions and now my status checker says "Transfer application complete."PhoenicianMonk wrote:I've logged into the status checker website, and it indicates that my applications is "Received." Does a received application = complete application, or will my status actually change to the word "complete" when they consider it completed?
My status check email said, "Please be patient with our review process as we do not have rolling admissions" so I'm honestly not expecting my decision until early April.

I went to complete today also. Other people also go complete today? I think they are going to start reviewing applications very soon.luckyduck wrote:I'm not sure when you actually applied. Will you guys post when you find out your decision?
Also, if you don't mind--stats also. Mostly interested in "if deferred" (hopefully not) what I will need come summer time.

If you look at dates and methods on transferapps someone said they got their email acceptance on 4/15/08. So I am thinking by the end of next week at the latest, but hopefully this week.

The date of "transfer application complete" has changed on my status check to 4/7. Nothing else has changed on the status check screen. Anyone else?

Re: WUSTL EA transfer thread
I hope decisions are released tomorrow, but my status never went to "in review" (it shows a 04/07 date, now, like everyone else, it seems). The way I'd imagine their systems work, is that your status automatically updates whenever the committee "checks it out" for actual review. Who knows, though.

Mine also had this conditional statement. I think it's standard.

Re: WUSTL EA transfer thread
I got this as well. They said my file was on hold and that they wanted to look at my spring grades. I took this to mean a ding, and that I would be evaluated with the regular decision.bigmnstyle wrote:In!!!!! Conditional as well
Am I missing something?
