Holy shit dude. Congrats! WUSTL outright dinged me with my EA application and I was a t5% at a t3 after my first semester, and refused to reconsider me for RD with t2% after the spring semester (not that I'm complaining -- it saved me the $800 deposit I would have thrown away if I had gotten in EA).getpolitical wrote:T3 top 25% heavy on softs (only reason I can figure they let me in)

Re: T3/T4 Transfer Cycle Results Thread
FWIW: Midwest TTT, Top 2% (4/1xx), Ties to NYC w/ previous job in sports industry and current 1L summer position with in-house counsel for Fortune 500.
Dinged: NU, Mich (my undergrad), and Columbia.
Waitlist: Georgetown.
Waiting: NYU and Fordham.
From previous years stats I thought I had a shot of acceptance at Georgetown, Michigan, and Fordham as students from my school have successfully transfered to those schools in the past.
However, don't you think this years transfer cycle has been much more competitive? It will be interesting to see some stats when it is all said and done.

Re: T3/T4 Transfer Cycle Results Thread
I wish there was more T2s in Texas that were public schools like Florida State. I think I could have got in with my numbers (above) to a school like that. I really really hope Texas Tech cuts it. I stayed in Texas because of the Hazelwood Act (A veteran Benefit that pays tuition). Maybe law students should start a thread regarding cost v. prestige. Specifically about T-3 schools v. T-2s on the lower end (ranked number 60 to 100 according to U.S. News)???

Re: T3/T4 Transfer Cycle Results Thread
I've always said that about Washington State law schools. UW is the only state school and it is incredibly hard to get in to. Seattle U. is VERY expensive and so is Gonzaga. Couple that with the fact that Gonzaga has a max scholarship amount (I think like half tuition) and WA state residents don't have any options if they aren't good enough to get into UW.mmribail wrote:I wish there was more T2s in Texas that were public schools like Florida State. I've always said that they shoud eliminate Gonzaga or even keep it and open up, say, Western Washington University School of Law or WSU Law and charge like 15k in state tuition. Let Gonzaga suffer, I don't care.

Re: T3/T4 Transfer Cycle Results Thread
Ha ha, true! I have always said we should eliminate a lot of the private schools and replace them with state schools. And that sucks man, regarding UW being the only state school. I at least had U of H (Although really difficult to get into; almost as hard as UT) other then UT-Austin (The mecca in the legal world here in Texas). Anyway, what would you do if given the choice between a respectable T-3 with a full scholarship v. a number 60-100 ranked school?A'nold wrote:I've always said that about Washington State law schools. By the way, isn't North Texas U starting up a law school? We'll see how it does. It will be another public one there in Texas anyway.

Hmmm.....I guess it really depends how you feel about the school. If I liked my school AT ALL I probably wouldn't have applied to my "safety" the other day. BUT, I really like that school and absolutely dislike the school I currently attend, for various reasons not related to stupid crap.
