Re: The Official Chicago Transfer Decision Countdown
How long did it take to get confirmation they received your complete transcript? LSAC apparently processed mine last week and sent an image to Chicago. MY GPA went down some, so I'm not feeling 100%. My class rank isn't a disaster though. I'd like to know soon whether or not I have to tell my future roommate I'm backing out of the lease (which I already signed).
By the way, I'm an ED admit. Don't want anyone to think I'd be so confident of RD chances that I already leased an apt.

I sent an email like a week or so after updating my LSAC shit asking if they received it, and they had and then confirmed the offer via email.bizen boat wrote:How long did it take to get confirmation they received your complete transcript? EDIT: don't worry about the GPA, former EDs say the drop's gotta be dramatic.

Mega has cool glasses. I tried some on like them yesterday but decided they didn't suit me. Other than that, I approve in theory of your pocket squares, though not so much the actual pocket squares. In all seriousness, I really liked most of the people there.luthersloan wrote:don't you ever have anything nice to say about anyone?

I really really hope you're right about decisions coming tomorrow, OP. I want to get this ding out of the way, so I can move on.

Status checker didn't indicate applicants were rejected, just that a decision was made. If you don't receive a phone call on the day calls are made you probably have a letter on its way.Hamilton wrote:So can we expect all decisions to come tomorrow (admits & rejects) or just the coveted phone calls?

Could you clarify on that? Because currently this status checker is just saying under review. Were you an ED applicant, and if so did the status checker switch to decision rendered at some point prior to the receipt of your decision?upgrade wrote:Status checker didn't indicate applicants were rejected, just that a decision was made. Re: The Official Chicago Transfer Decision Countdown
I was an ED applicant. My status changed to something (I don't recall the exact language) that indicated a decision was made on my application. I don't think it said "decision mailed," but it may have. The notification came via phone call around 4 in the afternoon. This was after reading several posts on here indicating acceptance calls started around 1.traydeuce wrote:Could you clarify on that? Because currently this status checker is just saying under review. So if I am an ED applicant, I will most likely get a decision for better or worse tomorrow. Right?

Following up on my previous question, did your status change the day of your phone call? Or the day before (or the day before that, etc.)?

If phone calls are made tomorrow, you will probably either receive a phone call or will be waiting for a rejection letter. Either way, your status checker should update to reflect that a final decision was reached.Journeybound wrote:So if I am an ED applicant, I will most likely get a decision for better or worse tomorrow. I believe people reported the change on the status checker status early afternoon on the day calls were made.traydeuce wrote:Following up on my previous question, did your status change the day of your phone call? Or the day before (or the day before that, etc.)?

Still under review at a quarter after 1... does this mean we may not hear until next week (perhaps because of the holiday pushing them a day back)?

Re: The Official Chicago Transfer Decision Countdown
maybe. we're also at 7/9, whereas the 2nd fri. of july last year was 7/10 and 7/11 the prior year, so they've had less time to review apps. i wouldn't be surprised if calls came early next week, instead.traydeuce wrote:Still under review at a quarter after 1... does this mean we may not hear until next week (perhaps because of the holiday pushing them a day back)?

'Upgrade' said above that they did change the status prior to calls months ago in the ED process. And it's not 1 anymore. That said, it has been the second Friday of July every year before the past couple years.

Re: The Official Chicago Transfer Decision Countdown
Just got an email from Chicago indicating they would not be able to make a decision on my file until early next week. I am not sure if this means all applicants or just me. In any event though, it suggests to me that it may be Monday before the calls start.

UC admission tweets just in case its helpful to anyone:
"ED transfers: just waiting on a few more transcripts and we plan to send all official transcript confirmations out by email early next week."
"Reading RD transfer apps. Issuing decisions early next week. All decisions by email (and we call admits). Have a great weekend!"

why would they be giving decisions to RD people before ED people?

Re: The Official Chicago Transfer Decision Countdown
I think they are talking about notifying people who were accepted ED about whether or not we meet the "contingent upon consistent performance" part
