+1. Seriously, I wish I could just convey how bad I want to go there, unlike a lot of these accepts who will probably go somewhere higher ranked. God damnit.

Here's to hoping for one more round of acceptances via tweet today

Complete for over 3 weeks and not even an update to the status checker. Why do they even bother giving one out if they end up not doing anything with it before sending out decision e-mails?

do you mean you had to call to find out you went complete? my status checker went complete eventually, but only after my file had actually been complete for close to a week.

if its any consolation, everyone i've talked to who was accepted as an NU transfer so far has been top 5% at T30+ schools... i've got to think that these applicants are going to be competitive into the T5 schools, meaning lots of withdrawls?

Got my email Wednesday before 5pm. I got another email on Thursday about checking my status. Both said congratuations. So you get both an email of congrats and another one about your status. Stas: around the top 50% of a top 20 law school.

Well that may be good because I went complete late June so it's possible they are simply working their way thru chronologically. While it is surely fading, there is still some hope.

So, I'm pretty sure I'll be transferring to Northwestern in the fall. I don't know ANYONE there or in Chicago for that matter. Does anyone want to be my friend?

Hell I know a lot of people in Chicago and Northwestern after having been here for a year, and I still go around asking that question. Seriously though, you'll make plenty of friends at NU, they're all laid back here. Get on one of the journals if you can, I hear that's a solid way to really get to know people.

Wow, that was pretty harsh and uncalled for.

I think the OP was being a bit sarcastic. Anyone who really asks for friends on a message board is usually joking because it is so weird and something tells me they are smart enough to know it's a bit ineffective.

We all know that we will find out the news this week, so if you had to bet are you getting accepted at NWU?

Me? I predict no but I'm enjoying the anticipation. What about you?

I predict a ding for me, due in large part to their reduced transfer class size and to what I suspect will be a very competitive transfer cycle.

Reduced transfers? From what to what and how did you find this info out? I know it's tough this time around but I read on their site and blog that they are still taking 30-35 transfers.

I saw (I think on lsac.org) that NU took 50+ transfers at one time. I think they reduced the class size in 2008 or so. A few TLS'ers were saying it was due to the AJD program.

I have between 5-7 years of WE but for other reasons I think I may be an easy out but then again w/ my positives you just never actually KNOW until the decision arrives. Every person can potentially offer unique benefits to the school and who knows what stands out to admissions. My fingers are crossed, I'd love to go there but like I said I'm prepared for a ding as well.

It's not over 'til it's over.

I didn't either and I was accepted, so don't lose hope!
