Submitted yesterday, got an e-mail tonight saying they'd received the "initial component(s)" of my app. Looking at the status check, the box for LORs is the only unchecked box but it has both of my recommenders names listed and the box next to their names checked. Did anyone else's LORs take a little while to update?

Mine's been like that for over a week. I called and they told me to be patient. Blah.

Might never update. I went complete and that box is still unchecked.

^^ OK, well I'm assuming they have them since they were sent through LSAC. Also, there's not supposed to be a check box for undergrad transcript and dean's cert is there? That was the stuff I was worried about getting there since I sent that in before my LSAC stuff

I think those are supposed to be there, but it might not be cause for concern, because my undergrad dean's cert is yet another box that's still unchecked... I don't want to lead you astray though, so maybe it's best to call and ask.

Ok thanks maybe I'll call. I'm 99% sure the stuff from undergrad got mailed but it would have gotten there before they had an actual file for me so it may have been misplaced

Hey all

I have a quick question about the CLS application. What's the deal with the supplemental materials (aka the dean and faculty appraisal/certification). Does everyone have to submit that, or just people who answer that they've had academic/discipline issues in the past?

Other than that, I got my app, ps, resume, transcript in - so I *think* I'm all squared away.

I appreciate the answers, this is definitely an intense application

Everyone needs to submit those. I know because my app was help due to a processing error with my undergrad cert. I did not have an academic or discipline issue.

I think the committee might be on a lunch break.

Also, it is nothing but lust between tray and I. No love there.

In at 11:53. Complete 6/30. T40 top 5%.

As somebody interested in IP, I'm pretty pumped. However, does anybody know if a clerkship effectively requires you to be on Law Review? I did not attempt the write on. Would a secondary journal at this level be acceptable?

Thank you. And for further clarification:
1) I assume both my current law school and my undergrad school need to complete the form?
2) The first two pages are for the dean to fill out. The 3rd page says faculty, but has nothing to fill out. I assume I'm supposed to ask one of my recommenders to fill out the 3rd page - but what would they need to do? There are no questions or boxes to check etc?

I appreciate it

People on secondaries get clerkships. The question is with which judge. Congrats on your admission offer!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
