Re: Official GW Transfer Class of 2012
I have committed and started looking at OCI. The due date for some of the bids is July 21st so I am trying to get all that stuff in and start working on the next round. Its been taking awhile since I have felt the need to do a cover letter for each bid. Since I have no rank etc. and no idea whether I'll make law review so... I figure at least if I do nice cover letters that will help (even if only a tiny bit)

You can apply to GW's LR in the Fall Competition. Maybe you'll make GW's as well....funkyfood1 wrote:Just got in today. I'm ~40% with Law Review at AU...is it definitely worth it to transfer? I have friends at both schools, so socially, I should be okay either way.

I sent in my seat deposit last week, still haven't gotten my official GW student ID number so I can register and fill out financial aid forms. Anyone gotten their ID number and know how long it will take?

I contacted admissions about a week after I sent in my seat deposit, and they told me I was free to contact Financial Aid directly. When I spoke to the Financial Aid office, they emailed me the form and gave me my GW ID number over the phone.smithjz wrote:I sent in my seat deposit last week, still haven't gotten my official GW student ID number so I can register and fill out financial aid forms. I know many are still waiting on Georgetown. Anyone considering withdrawing Georgetown application and enrolling in GW on Thursday (when the deposit is due?) in order to make OCI deadlines etc?

I'm submitting my seat deposit today and then turning my attention to OCI. I'm moving forward thinking that I'm a GW student. If GULC offers me a seat then I have a new "problem" (one that I'd love to have).Marie9444 wrote:I know many are still waiting on Georgetown. Maybe I'll see you in the fall!

Congrats to everyone who has been admitted. I am transferring from GW to another school, and have a great deal on an apartment that would be ideal for an incoming transfer. PM or see GW c/o 2013 thread for more info.

Re: Official GW Transfer Class of 2012
It seems like there has not been that much movement at GW a few acceptances and a few rejections. My file has been complete there since mid June almost a month now. I am not quite sure what to make of this yet... anyone else in this situation? Also anyone expecting another round on friday after deposits are due on thursday?

I am in the same situation. Called last Friday and was told all decisions should come out in the next 2-3 weeks... so I guess just keep waiting.phishskier41 wrote:It seems like there has not been that much movement at GW a few acceptances and a few rejections. I guess I should be me expecting mine when I get home then... it appears they are only e-mailing acceptances.
Also just an observation, it looks like GW is rejecting both through e-mail and regular mail.... I wonder what the reasoning is behind that.
Anyone else hear anything today?
