So does this mean that if people don't commit by today they have a list of people getting acceptances tomorrow?DC2NY2x wrote:Update:
So I called NYU admissions and they said that a group has been approved for this week, and they may or may not approve a second group for this week should people withdraw tomorrow. Otherwise I would need to wait until next week. Fuck.

Also, worth mentioning that the guy at admissions said they still have open spots and have already sent out dings. So if you are still under review you're in the game, but they are holding to see the "entire applicant pool". I figure that after tomorrow (deadline for those accepted during the week of the 4th) and the last deadline (somewhere in the last week of July) are gonna be heavy movement days.

Longtime lurker here but can't really take the suspense anymore. I was wondering if you knew whether the group that was approved for this week has been notified of their acceptances or if calls still have to go out? Appreciate you calling admissions and letting all of us know! I'm unsure, I just know I'm not with them, but honestly it probably wouldn't make sense that they had already been notified considering the language the guy from admissions used. What's your timeline look like?Jhyland10 wrote:Longtime lurker here but can't really take the suspense anymore. Hoping calls still have to go out and we all get one haha. Also are you on UR2 or UR3? I've been UR2 since 7/8.Jhyland10 wrote:Longtime lurker here but can't really take the suspense anymore. Yikes it’s been so long but timeline is something like UR1-6/18, UR2-6/24, UR3-7/8. Best of luck to all hoping we get the call this week!

No updates today? I figured there's going to be acceptances later this evening because the deposit deadline was today at noon, so it would make sense if some people went UR today.

It will always say "under review" until it says "decision letter sent" UR1/2/etc. just refers to each time the date under it changesSeoulkaraoke wrote:What is UR1 UR2 URx etc etc? My status checker just says "Under Review".

Anyone know what the EIW/OCI policy is is? I'm guessing the deadline, like Columbia, is soon...real soon.

Re: NYU Law Transfer Thread 2019
Well last year, they had one last round of acceptances early in the last week of July (Next week) and then a few more stray acceptances after the latest deposit deadline (the thursday of the last week), so if you aren't cleared this week, next week is your last shot it seems...Seoulkaraoke wrote:Anyone know what the EIW/OCI policy is is? If you call the admissions office, and a man answers the phone(I recognize his voice, this is the only way I can describe him) he will give you legit updates on your specific application. (I gave him my LSAC # and he told me that as of yesterday, I wasn't cleared for the acceptances going out this week, but was still in the game). I encourage those still waiting to call and if you get the man, ask what the status is of your particular application and when you can realistically expect a decision by. If this one woman answers the phone, she will tell you the standard response that all decisions are made by the end of July. Let me know what they say!

It's odd that noone has been UR this week...Every previous year saw 2/3 waves of acceptances this week + next week. Re: NYU Law Transfer Thread 2019
Hi everyone. I called in this morning and spoke with the male admissions rep. Basically just reiterating what has been said earlier. Shoe-ins have been accepted and non-competitive candidates dinged. There’s a good amount of competitive candidates the admissions team still has to make a decision on. He told me a lot of these will come toward the end of the month, but if they decide earlier you will know earlier. My reading of that is that there probably won’t be a big movement day for a little while with sporadic decisions going out before then. Buckle in everyone and best of luck.

In past threads, this week has seen a lot of movement/next week was usually the last weekTransferee? wrote:Any updates this morning?
It seems noone else has gone UR, so either:
1.people who have gone UR/have been accepted are not on TLS
2. The admissions office is going to make its final decisions next week
I know that as of when I called on 7/16, there was a group of people who were scheduled to be notified of an acceptance this week, because a decision had been made on their application.
When I asked if another group after that would be admitted I was told "it's up to the discretion of admissions officers", but next week is usually the last-minute adjustments
