They also wrote on my letter and signed it. I'm assuming they wait until they're all signed/mailed before scanning them and emailing them at once. Me and the other person who heard yesterday got our emails within 4 minutes of each other. So they individually send each one.

9:15 - everyone else shows up, lolo tgif amirite
9:30 - stop talking to your fellow adcoms about your kids hilarious playdate and start getting to work
9:31 - open egg sammich from starbucks and triple soy eigth splenda caramel latte extra foam
9:45 - start eating said food because you had to tell coworker about another point about the playdate that made "ijustcant"

9:45-11 - wait for the phone calls that ask when transfer decisions come out and state, affirmatively "no decisions today - probably at or around the 15th - the deadline, you know"
11:00 - open up emails from past afternoon and see you have to process acceptances - woops
11:01 - processes said acceptances.

initial thoughts


they dont usually do 2 days of acceptances in a row. usually a space in between. so w-f; m-w that would mean for us it would be monday, not today.

they did a bigger 'wave' on day 1 with 5 acceptances on 7/10. this year we only have 2. not sure what that means.

acceptances go out individually and ~3pm average

they like top 10% no matter what school.

i guess the counter to that is that then they're basically 70% down on acceptances so far compared to last year. as in, last year by monday they had accepted 7 people. this year .. 2?

last year they were at page 1-2 for acceptance day. we were at like 9 pages. maybe that's just from you, me, and CN, though..

but look at NYU's thread. they have ~18 acceptances. idk how many last year they had but 18 to me seemed like a lot.

also HLS thread had a ton. i feel like TLS is still adequately represented.

Time will tell.. I just dont understand why they would do such a small first round when the general thought process is larger first wave to compete with other schools who have already made decisions
