I posed this question before, but is anybody still UR from late-June? I have no clue why it has yet to update, but I called yesterday and they assured me that I'm still UR. Any ideas?

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do about it at this point. They haven't lost your application. They are just sitting on it. I'd just wait and see.

I also had a status change to UR for today (7/14). Previously I was UR for 7/7.

Status change to 7/14. 7/2, 7/5 Prior.

The real issue is I need to pay a deposit elsewhere by tomorrow (and find housing very soon). I would prefer to wait for NYU, but I feel like they are never getting back to my application.

+1. My deposit is due tmrw at Mich. I'd rather go to NYU, but who knows when I'll finally get a result of any kind (accept, reject, or WL) from them.

Realistically, you guys are probably going to have to take your chances putting in your deposit at the last second you're comfortable with. If you waste it, you waste it. I've done that with another school, and it really is the safe alternative. I've already signed up for OCI's, classes, parking, etc. If I don't get in, I am still good to go. If I do, then I'll consider canceling these things. (any chance a t20 school would give a scholarship to stop you from going to a t6 school?)

oh yea, I always pay the deposit a day before it is due - it is like an insurance policy. So far, $1600 down the drain at GULC from EA.

How in the world am I still in the running. Perhaps my no is coming today, but his stats are much better. If I do get in, I think we should update the transfer ideology because I wrote a hell of a personal statement/addendum.

They do not sent rejection by mail. Maybe you are in. Call and Ask.....

It doesn't mean anything either way yet - they do update statuses to DLS if you're denied through email, and they update to DLS if you're accepted through the phone/email/mail. So it just means you're getting a decision soon, but doesn't tell if it's good or bad yet.

lawstudent212, same thing happened to me. Try the backdoor on page 5. I thought I was rejected but I think it just takes time for them to process through all the students. Backdoor didn't work for me shortly after I went DLS. It works for me now.
