I hope you're right. But I'm not feeling too confident that they'll accept me without my rank. And that might put me behind the eight ball. The only thing I can hope for is if they think I have what appears to be the grades that they'll plan on having a spot for me when my rank comes out.

But with it being Harvard, it's just hard for me to feel good about it. Especially since it is completely out of my control. That's the part that frustrates me the most. I worked hard to earn my grades 1L year. I spent time and money on the applications. I made sure all the materials that were available were in. All those things were in my control. This isn't. I'm at the mercy of someone else and it's just hard to accept. Especially since our grades and GPAs have been out for over a month. I just don't get what takes so long with the ranks.

Things in my control don't stress me. Things out of my control do. I just hate being at the mercy of someone else.

Plus Harvard is my #1 choice. I don't expect to get into Yale or Stanford but if I did, I think I'd still choose Harvard. So that's not making it any easier.

Yeah that's why I recommended tea leaf reading and other forms of prognostication. Why accept the uncertainty of the present when you can grasp the future?

Tea leaf reading is a great recommendation, but I always felt crystal ball reading was cooler.

Application ready for review changes only to "admit" or "decision rendered" (I hope you don't have to ask what decision rendered means).

I did use the word "if" so not really. Not expecting anything with HYS. I think there's a fair chance at both (not a lock or anything) while I feel like Yale is a longshot.
